Dealer screwed up caliper replacement: advice?

    #1 is BS, but #2 sounds like a pretty good response. Are you OK with it?

    Yeah, that's my thought. #1 was complete BS.

    But #2 is okay. Makes up for the fact I will have to go way out of my way to use a different Toyota dealer.

    What's the cost difference between the OEM Calipers and the Aftermarket?? And what's the non dealer price for the aftermarket?? ( just want to make sure you are still getting a decent deal here ... or being charged for OEM ???)

    I also hope the dealership is not putting in aftermarket parts for warranty repairs ????

    Just Thinking....

    If I call them up and ask this, $250 vs $362 (aftermarket vs OEM)

    Supposedly they always use the OEM parts for warranty work (then again, supposedly they always install the calipers correctly, too...)
