First time poster here folks, but have visited this site often. I hope I can add to the fourm since I'm about to purchase a 2015.

I'm going to purchase in the next week or so a 2015 access cab, 4x4 , AT, V6, SR5.

My question is ..... Do these come with Alloy wheels or steel.

Thanks and hope to contribute with the purchase info.

By the way this will be my 4th Taco.

It is my understanding that the truck you describe will come with steel wheels. The alloy wheels are a $400 + option.

I ordered a 2015 in July and that's what the dealer told me. Hopefully my truck will be delivered shortly (this week or next). In retrospect, I wish I would have spent the money for the alloy wheels. Hopefully I can pickup a set from someone on TW.

    Enjoy your new truck!

If its the same as it always has been, which I would assume it is, the SR5 come with steel wheels. My 06 SR5 came with steelies so I just waited for a good deal on some TRD OR alloy wheels. Thats wht I would do. Don't pay for bran new alloys from the dealer....

    Welcome to TW btw!

Yea, the Alloys are nice upgrade from the steel wheels for the cost. That's what I have on my present Tacoma.

I have searched after market wheels and from what I found and like there $200 ea.

I think you may still have the option of switching them out when the truck arrives and paying the $400. That would be my approach. A quick call would be worth the effort.

When I waited and looked around for a deal, I ended up getting the OR rims for 25$ each and they were bran new in the box. The guy I got them from had the dealer take them off for some Trail Teams before he drove the truck off the lot. I use the steel rims for winter rims
