So it's been almost a month since my truck was in a horrible hail storm...I just picked it up from the Toyota Body Shop yesterday thought I'd write and let everyone know how it turned out. I've worked in a body shop a long time ago, so I know a little about what to look for. I think it turned out very nice! I met and talked to the fellow doing all the work (1 guy per vehicle is how they roll), he seemed like a perfectionist like myself. And the manager is a perfectionist, so if it's not right it doesn't go out the door. All I can find wrong with it is a tape line in the door jam (no big deal) and the box isn't quite on straight (couple bolts and it'll be fine).

I also had them add the sport hood with the hood scoop. So now I have a TRD Off Road with a Sport hood scoop hood! I like it alot!!!

I'm 99% sure I'll just keep it and drive it forever (it still has the toyota warranty since it's a toyota body shop). Especially since I borrowed my sales man's 09 Tacoma demo, I didn't like how that truck shifted at all!

 wow - that looks like it was worked over by someone with a bag of ball peen hammers. They work those dents out or replace panels?

Wow, glad everything turned out fine. That is some serious damage. I can't imagine that they would beat out all those dents seems much cheaper and simpler to replace IMO. Nice truck.

Yeah, all new replacement panels. New hood, roof, fender, bedside, door skins and they even spliced new pillars. All toyota parts.

Not yet, and they better not! There was probably 350-400 vehicles, 100,000 acres of land and small town that was affected by this hail storm. If they drop me, they'd have to drop everyone of those people too.

Nope. The truck was not totaled.

Repairs were around 12,000. The insurance guy said he needed 4,000 more to total the truck.
