Picked up my '14 Tacoma (dbl cab, V6, 4x4, 'long' 6ft bed, shiny) last week.

Had been looking for the access cab version, but a friend talked me into the double cab. :)

    I love it!

    Hi there!

I originally wanted a late-1990's Access cab one with the small body. But hard to resist shiny and oh so comfy... and it'll last me forever!

I've already been poking around and looking at all the fun bits I can attach and install... right now, the two main things I want are some kind of topper for the bed - ideally tall so I can still fit my motorcycles inside and a motorcycle ramp.

(and mud guards and running boards and bug guard and some all-weather floor mats and maybe that dry flow air filter that someone recommended elsewhere on this forum, and seat covers and some kind of cover for the back seats to keep dog hair off of everything, and some rims, and, and, and.... yeah. just a few things.)

Hahaha. It will snowball. All I wanted to do was put on a skid bumper and hook up a light bar, now the plan has evolved into a full long travel beast. Already got tundra axle and other goodies.

And I'm still in the middle of changing all the lights out to led. :D

Like he said, get ready to spend all you money.. I know I do!

Nice! (and, crap, I'm in trouble.)

What's the Tundra axle? Heavier duty axle?

I think I read that aluminum wheels are more sturdy than the stock steelies, is that right? I'm tired and my memory is holey.

Light bar would be nice! I plan to take my DR350 out and go camping/riding with this beast.

Ha! Been at work most of the week putting in some extra time (worked the holiday).
Will get the truck out for some photo ops around lovely Arizona this weekend! :)

I think I figured out a name for new truck: "Trogdor"

(and props to any of y'all if you get the reference! :D )

We think you can't go wrong with either DC or AC so long as it's a Tacoma :D

Congrats and welcome to the Tacoma Family!

Let us know if you ever have any questions.

    Cheers!

At first the DC seemed so huge, but when I measured it, it's really not much longer than the AC - and more comfy for passengers. So, why not. :)

    Thanks!

A friend reminded me that I should get a dash cover to protect it (Az sun is brutal!) Gotta look that up now!
