    Cool!!

Ever see the video where it goes from the known universe to the quantum and the structure just repeats and repeats!

Awesome! I heard an interview with nuclear physicist Stan Friedman. He wants to have a debate with Tyson about his comments regarding nuclear fission to power our space vehicles. Apparently, Tyson says it cannot be done safely and Friedman begs to differ, as he actually worked on secret projects on fission reactors for space travel. His work was successful but the projects lost funding so we never got to see what we can do.

wonder if he'll talk about things like this or if it's just going to be a general talk like in the Cosmos series? either way, it should be pretty badass.

I think there is generally a topic of discussion that headlines the lecture. But like you said, either way it will be great.

If you guys like this stuff, I will keep adding these types of vids as well as some of the "alternative" space theory stuff. :alien: But note, it would only be stuff that is generally plausible and backed up by science.

Here is a fascinating study on the scarred surface of Mars. The theory suggests that the unusual scarring of the planet's surface resemble laboratory studies of powerful electric discharges (lighting bolts) scarring on variable surfaces.

I believe this study is on point when the evidence is reviewed against lab results. It explains a ton of the unusual characteristics of the Mars surface, as well as some notable sites like Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in our solar system.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmId6v3K4SI

I am about 2/3 of the way through the video and it has not been discussed on what could have caused these massive, powerful lighting storms. I have a theory, but am waiting for the rest of the video to finish. lol

If you zoom out far enough, and keeeeeeeep going, eventually we will all realize that we are just a tiny miniscule part of a spec of dust underneath the fingernail of some creature on it's own planet, in IT'S own universe, with it's own solar system.......

Do you mean solar system then galaxy? Or do you believe in the multi universe theory?

Alright, finished the video. It was very good. Through all the lab evidence it can be concluded that Mars suffered some type of massive electric storm/disturbance, on a scale never seen before.

The video does not give any indication on the cause of the electric storms, but I wonder if the theory that Mars was a satellite to a super earth that NASA scientists have named planet K (Krypton, literally :D) and when that planet exploded (becoming the asteroid belt separating the inner solar system from the outer solar system), Mars was not only bombarded with rocks from the destroyed planet, but the massive amount of energy created by such an event enveloped Mars in an electrical bubble or storm. I theorize that this storm lasted quite a while as the destruction of planet K took who knows how long to become what we know today as the asteroid belt.

Something epic in scale had to happen to cause all this electric scarring on the Mars surface. Electric storms on Earth have never been discovered or recorded on the scale that is necessary to result in the features on Mars. Quite baffling.
