Sonofabitch! Been shopping around locally for tires and they want anywhere between $1450-$1700 for the tires I want! Online $1100-$1200. I want buy at a local store for the tire hazard and free rotations (which add up over every 3k miles) but this is ridiculous!

Doesn't "Discount Tire Direct" (online) work with "Discount Tire" (local)?

I just buy all my tires used. I am currently looking for a set of BFG A/T in 285/75R16 but even the used is pretty high price.

I don't buy them with less than 70% of the spec tred and I mount/rotate them myself for super cheap.

I have pro comp extreme all terrains right now. I'm probably around 30k with plenty of life left.

I should probably mention I bought them with 90% tred and they were basically free.

I got my last set of tires on Amazon, mount/balance/rotate for life from discount tire, included in mounting fee.

have you seen the cost of the 44's?? holly fuck they are like $800 per tire. I can get a set of 42.5X13.50R17 boggers for 2390.80 with tax and shipping

Edit: just checked summit 44X19.5R17 priced at $839.97 + $149 shipping puts the total cost at 3508.88 so is 1.5 inches worth the extra grand?? I don't think so..

Discount tire near me total price out the door $1162.13 for the same thing, 4 tires.

You may want to look into 5 tires to replace the spare. It could really suck being on the trail with a flat, and have to put an undersized street rated spare on.

I am definitely getting a spare tire next time I get a set. Especially with tires that are harder to find. Pro Comp Extreme All terrains are cool but you can only get them certain places.

Same with the rims I am getting (Konig Countersteer Offroad). I will definitely be spending the extra cash up front for an extra rim, just incase. But then again, those can come later.

I suppose, if I blow out a front switch a rear to the front for the clearance of UCAs and then throw the spare on the rear. What's the biggest tire that can be stuffed under the bed?

I have seen 33" with minimal Modification and 35" if you chop the exhaust.
