2014 Norcal Wheeling Trip Thread

No. My understanding is that you can go as far as the meadows. Then you'll need to turn around and come back out the way you went in.

 

both about the same... very mild trails with a few obstacles. DV is longer. The staircase on SR is more challenging than anything I saw on DV. Only remember 1 tippy section and a few rock obstacles, but nothing super difficult on DV.

Do it! I want to wheel Slick Rock and hang at Utica for a bit if the weather is good. Might do some other trails in the area too. Night wheeling

Looks like you guys had a good time! Trail doesn't look too bad, might have to give it a go next year. Might need someone to tag along with a winch just in case. hopefully by then I'll have my 4runner

I have a winch and plan on doing gold lake next summer. I am bummed i didnt get to make up there this yr. oh well there is more trails then iv have time to get to.

 

Anthony and I are going back. we are going to make it up that snake trail next time. we wernt able to do it this time even with a winch.

 

No make it with the winch? Wow that must be pretty steep. I thought it was a moderate trail.

 

When are you planning to go back.

 

Did you try doubling the line back to the truck to increase the power of the pull or was there not enough line or no snatch block for that?
