First evasive maneuvers I've had to make in this truck. Impressed.

I bought a Browning A Bolt last year for elk hunting. I bought the composite stalk to save money for a nice scope. Great gun so far, only shot it at the range though. Hope to get an elk this in second season.

How many people tow heavy loads with the Tacoma? How does it do in the mountains? I'm debating between getting a Tundra v Tacoma. I don't want to go full size, but I wouldn't mind. I miss my Tacoma a lot but I'm worried I would not be able to pull my 4Runner around with a Tacoma.

I once put my Tundra in a full sideways slide at over 80mph on highway 34 between Loveland & Greeley... those were good times. Had a guy get in front of me moments before a rear-end accident a few cars in front of him. I had enough time to check the right hand lane and throw it over to avoid hitting the back of the 3/4 Chevy at 80ish mph. Countered to avoid a roll and the drift was on!! Still not sure how we avoided all mile markets, posts & fences after we slid off the right side of the road. I got out to make sure all my tires were still seated on the wheels because of the force of the slide. My wife was freaking out and I just jumped out, walked around the perimeter making sure the beads were seated and hoped back in and threw it in drive before I realized she was in pretty bad shape. lol I put it back in park and let her unwind a little bit realizing that maybe she doesn't handle such situations in the same manner that I do. :D

Lol I did the same thing... jumped a curb to miss an idiot and it sent me into a full slide. Can't believe I don't have a blown tire or bent wheel.

Depends. The Tacoma will probably do it but the Tundra will probably do it better. Keep in mind it's not just a power thing but a suspension and braking thing too. Sure there are trailer brakes but I don't like to rely on those as an excuse to over trailer a smaller truck that wasn't designed for it. I've pulled smaller trailers with mine but if I had plans to tow larger regularly I'd just buy a Tundra. If it's a one-time thing and you don't mind taking it slow and being extra careful get the truck that fits your needs the other 99% of the time.

I would tow the 4Runner from the east coast to Colorado. After that I would only be trailering the 4Runner to and from trails. I do not plan on towing anything else besides the 4Runner.

If you plan on towing it all the time I say get the tundra.

I knew I could get a straight answer from you Ost. I am certainly not up to speed on all of the interwebz bs sites and figured you might have an informative answer. Thanks!
Pics or it didn't happen! :D
Check axle seals and front wheel bearing. They still could have problems especially since you jumped curb. Glad you were OK though.

The only thing stopping me is it is full size and I can't get it in a manual.

But I can get leather and a sunroof in a Tundra :goingcrazy:

If you were in Englewood there will not be any. Cameras are live only and not recorded due to liability issues.

There's a reason for that. All the ballers rock an automatic. Manual transmission is for kids and poor people who lack sophistication. ;)
