I didn't know that the great G.P. Burdell had a Tacoma!!
I think I've got that same sticker on my back window.

I've heard of people say their Silverstar bulbs burn out quickly too, but I had them on my last truck which was a Chevrolet and had DRLs, and I had the same set for over 4 years running any time the truck was. My Silverstar Ultra's or whatever the newest version is have been on the Tacoma for almost a year now and I'd be surprised if they don't last another year. Never tried PIAA since I've been happy with the newest models of Silverstar.

They're too heavy for me. I do mostly on road driving and tow. I prefer the less aggressive and much quieter Firestones. Also, according to TireRack, the Firestones pretty much own the BFGs in every category. And that's based on 30,000,000 and 98,000,000 miles driven respectively.

    http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surve...ratio=75&diameter=16&tireSearch=true&filter=y

Honestly, I'm surprised that Toyota continues to provide them as OEM tires on the PRO. If were up to me I'd have gone w/ the cheaper and more effective Firestones. And that's based on perceived AND actual customer usage AND aesthetics. I think the Firestones look better. But that's just me.

    Firestone's.

FYI the Firestone's were $633 installed OTD including tax and Road Hazard.

Very easy job! Did you have the rotors turned at the same time?

I guess to each his own. I had BFG's 285's on my old 2500 and they rocked! I could go anywhere in the snow or mud. But no cool aid mustache though.

AT's, I would agree if they are the Rugged Trails. Those do suck, which are still on my truck. Cant justify buying new tires when mine are new still.
