LAME. I love manual transmissions. The 6 speed in the Tacoma isn't the best ever though for sure.

    Yes.

Plus I think having a manual transmission in mountainous areas is a big advantage.

You won't need the manual for the mountains in the tundra it has plenty of power.

The only way that could happen is if I am able to finance a supercharger with an auto loan. That would be awesome though and the though has crossed my mind several times.

I know I'm saying a 6 speed in a Tacoma. I would get an auto Tundra but manual Tacoma.

A 6 speed Tacoma with a supercharger would be perfect for me. It should be able to tow the 4Runner too with some extra parts (trans cooler, brake controller, etc).

I'd say get a Tundra, a full size one for sure. We tow our crawler with an 02 Tundra, it does it but not as well as we'd like. Going 30 mph up the mountains is a little scary and we only get like 8 mpg. I think the slightly newer 4 door tundras (not the full size ones but the next step up from our 02) have slightly more power but you're probably better off getting the full size 5.7L

Anyone here have an OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification?

I'm looking into getting it and can't figure out where/when they offer actual classes instead of online stuff.

A lot of the jobs I want to apply for involve environmental remediation and cleanup. Some employers don't require the cert., but having it is worth a couple bonus points.

dont really need a trans cooler on a manual. and the supercharger and 6spd is alright. its what i have, but with 35's and stock gearing, it doesnt move as fast as it should :p

mines an offroad and my manual trans doesnt have a cooler. no lines coming off of it and going to any kind of radiator. the trans cooler is only for the automatic with the TRD packages

and there is not torque converter causing a shit load of heat and friction with a manual. thats why u need a cooler with an auto and not a manual
