Tundra will tow a space shuttle...I haven't used mine to tow, but have seen many, many tow some heavy equipment....if ir debating on the 4.6 - 5.7 go with the 5.7. MPG isn't much different, and you will have more torque, hp, and will not burn as much fuel in the 5.7 trying to tow something as you would the 4.6 (or 4.7) while maintaining a certain speed...

That thing didn't last a day on the lot  We saw it the day they put it out on Saturday, then they were closed Sunday, then on Labor day we saw someone driving it to safeway

Eh....it wouldn't be marketed to high profile customers if it was a shitty weapon. The action is the most used action for long range shooters...besides proprietary actions such as AI

V6 f150 will pull the space shuttle. Marketing stunt. The taco might even be able 2. Towing is owned by diesels. The tundra is just an oversized 1500. Don't be fooled.

I tried pulling a 25' camper trailer out of my buddies property with one of our tundys and it couldn't pull it up the 25 degree exit. Came back the next day with my dad's cummins and didn't even have to put it in 4lo. Torque wins.

Yes but that's not the topic. The topic was towing tacoma vs tundra and you lose that 10/10 times. V6 Eco boost you speak of, yeah will tow what a tundra will turbos are a great thing for making high TQ numbers at a low rpm. I still take the tundra over the new f150. My dad bought the 2013 Eco boost xlt and it's impressive for sure, but if you're gonna buy an f150 just get the raptor.

Again you're comparing apples to oranges. The guy wants to tow a 4runner on a car trailer. The tundra will do fine. If you need a diesel for that you're doing something wrong.

I agree on the raptor. I was just trying to squash the misconception that the tundra is some tow-monster. Cuz it's not.

I thought turbos needed high rpms to generate boost?

Oh I agree, but a towing a car trailer the tundra will pull like a champ.
Yes but its a pretty small turbo it kicks in quick so once out of first gear the Eco boost does a good job at keeping revs fairly low.
