Okay, I bought a 2013 PreRunner SR5 I4 15months ago and have finally realized that the I4 just doesn't perform as well as I thought it would so, Tomorrow, I pick up my 2015, same truck as I have, with a V6. My advise is if you are looking to get a Tacoma, regardless of anything else, get a V6. As nice as it is, the I4 version just doesn't cut it.

True story, but I would have also added 4X4.

I just don't do anything that requires 4x4 so that option isn't in the cards for what I need

Get 4x4, awesome where these trucks can take you with it... but if happy driving only paved roads, nothing beats cars and 2wd trucks... resale is much better with 4x4 too!

    Congrats and good luck.

I want a new truck but it ain't worth it for me :duel:

I bought a new Buell Lightning back in 2000 and had to wait 6 weeks to take delivery due a recall all while I was making payments and when I finally got it it was jacked up and had to file a Lemon Law on their asses.

I took my money back and bought a 2001 Ducati Monster which started to leak oil from the crank seal after 200 miles. It was int he shop for 28 days waiting on parts.

I was about to Lemon Law their ass as well after the previous experience but after that I ahd 34K almost trouble free miles except for the low fuel light malfunction in backwoods Alabama 2,000 miles away from home and a bad wire harness that caused the bike to die whenever it felt like it on a 5K mile road in a week trip in the middle of nowhere Kansas and Colorado and Nebraska until it finally died for good 6 months and $1K later.

Been there, done that, lived to tell about it now I ride Hondas and drive Toyotas.

Well, I found out this morning, when I went to the dealership to process paperwork, that my new Toy is actually a 2014 model so, that should answer some of the speculation as to whether or 14's are still available. I hope to pick it up tomorrow for sure...............????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2014s are still available by the thousands. You just can't order a new 2014 to be custom built at the manufacturing plant, they'll only build 2015s.

    Enjoy!

There are LOTS of us on here that really enjoy the I4 and find it more than suitable for everything we need.

But if you have a need for the V6 then by all means get it.

Got it, late this afternoon. It is the evil twin of the one I traded in. This pic is the older one, 2013. 2014 has tow package, XM radio and running boards and, of course, the V6
