Great choice in ride. Welcome to TW :) . We sure have the patience to bare with you. Which model did you get? Check out Hella or PIAA for fogs. Go to "Store" from the home page and check them out ;) . Look at top right corner.

    Welcome to TW.

Did your rig come without foglights? Do you have those inserts in the bumper?

None currently, but I would like a better sounding exhaust and perhaps a cold air pack and some color coded step bars
Welcome acoma07 to TW. Great site and a great bunch of tacoma owners.

Hi, I just put fog lights in my '07. It was prewired so the install was easy. Pop out the inserts. Snap in the lights....no screws...no bolts. Plug the harness into each light. It's taped to the body work near the lights. Pop out the insert in the dash...the harness is attached to the insert. Plug in the switch and presto.....fog lights! I got the lights off eBay for $115 and it included lights, switch, harness and relay. I didn't need the harness or relay because of the prewiring, but if yours isn't then you have everything you need although it won't be as quick and easy as mine. After the installation I opted to get a Toyota switch for the factory look and I found one on eBay for $24. I am very happy with the results.

It's only a couple configurations that have the wiring but no fogs. They are not prewired on most of the trucks.

Is there any other way to tell your fog lights are on other than look to see if the button is in or out. I don't have a light or anything...that sorta sucks. Also, I've been reading up on the fog lights anytime mod...that sounds like the way to go, if only I could tell they were on???

Yes, they were the GTX units. So far so good.
It's interesting that some Tacomas come prewired and some don't. I wonder what the rationale is at Toyota?

It might depend on what other packages are installed from the factory. I have 4cyl 2wd access cab power windows/locks, when I get home I'll have to go have a look & see.

That's my configuration so I can save you the trouble. It's not prewired. :(
