    Guys and Gals, i need some help with a wedding registry. Ive lived alone for years so I already have all the essentials and nicer silverware/towels/plates dont interest me.

    Not sure what to put on the registry, any ideas? doing 1 at Target and Macys

    A purse for your balls and bloodproof sheets come to mind.

    No but seriously, it is easy to hit a wall on this pretty fast, but remember that people do want to buy you shit. It is what is done. You have to give them options. It is a great way to get good cookware. You do like to eat, don't you? Look at both your cookware and decide what needs an upgrade. These are tools, they just happen to live in the kitchen. Think of it that way. Stainless and cast iron. It will help.

    You may also consider adding REI (or similar) to your list. Outdoor camping stuff you can use together, it works.

    do you guys need any big ticket items - furniture, appliances, etc. when i got married i already had most everything i needed but we were moving to a new place that had no appliances. we registered at a furniture/appliance store and everyone could leave whatever dollar amount they wanted on our account. in the end we had enough to get all of our appliances. or are you guys doing a big honeymoon? start a travel savings fund at a bank and have folks leave money there for you. most times folks understand that if you're not just starting out on your own you don't need all of the basic household stuff.

    Sears is garbage. I love the stores and brands, but anything else like buying online or wedding gift registry is crap.

    Yea, I just got in a torque rating machine and 2 electronic torque wrenches from them and the confirmation e-mails they sent me are totally whacked.

    They are trying to be the Amazon of department stores, but failing horribly.

    Pretty much no one is here that was here originally except Burg and Susan. John doesn't count because he's MIA 99.9% of the time.
