So, I ordered a 2015 Tacoma crew cab TRD Sport. (Have not taken delivery yet) I didn't ask at the time about an auto dimming mirror with homelink because it is the year 2014, and since the 2014's came with them as an option, I just figured it was going to be standard equipment. :notsure: I decided to call the dealership last week to inquire about it. They said it can be added for an additional $400. It's something I want it and will ultimately pay for, but what are the odds of getting it at a better price? Do you think if I told them I'd do it if they could give it to me for $300 they would go down on price?

I was able to negotiate what I think was a fair price for the truck, but am wondering how flexible they are with their accessories.

I checked 3 online parts websites. MSRP is $761.84 on all 3 websites, best price is $549.61 at camelbacktoyota.com. So $400.00 installed is a good price.

Get them to throw something in. I got a $200 skid plate for my 2014. Yeah, it's not 1/4" steel but hell it was free. Ask them what they can do. Maybe window tinting, floor mats, whatever. Businesses always have extra of some thing or the other and the salespeople would rather throw you something they were going to liquidate than hurt their numbers. That goes for any business, now that I think about it.

I like the floor mats or window tint idea. I think I'll ask for one of those, as they were on my list of wants/needs anyway.

"Well, I don't need the homelink that bad. $400? Tell ya what. I'll buy one if you throw in some all weather mats." Lol. I'll see how that works.

On a side note, I'm supposed to take delivery sometime later this month. It's supposed to be built on or about Sept 8th. I'm getting more and more excited the closer I get.

Good news. I just spoke with the dealership. They are going to throw in a set of 4 all weather mats with the Tacoma name on them for free. Now, if only I could have a good set of HID headlights and a sunroof. Lol.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
The wiring will most likely be in the headliner even with the standard mirror. You can get a new Gentex from Bob's Mirrors for $200 to $300 depending on what features you want. The wires are easy to find and pull out.

Congrats! I just ordered the same truck. 2015 DCLB 4x4 sport w/entune premium. Why did you need to order yours? For me, I found it nearly impossible to find a DCLB in stock

I wanted the dark blue ribbon color . Dealership said they couldn't find any with the options I wanted. I'm not in a hurry for a new truck, and they gave me a good price for a new one if I was willing to wait. So here I am. Just waiting around. They called me today and said the build date was on or about September 17th. I ordered it on August 18th.

They tried to sell me on a white one and a red one, but I'm picky. Lol. I originally wanted the Nautical blue metallic that comes on the newer 4runners. They said it wasn't a color option for the Tacomas.
