So if you rarely have any weight in the bed and dont want a stiff ride, whats the best recommendation if your stock leafs are flat/frowning? I figured aal's wouldnt work well with stock pack like that.

Seems like this could be close enough to use stock u bolts. I can pay 55 bucks to have some made or wait till Monday and get a set.

I'd have to order it and then have someone weld on the new gussets..... maybe in the future but for now i'm just anxious to get off the stock suspension.

Anyone got a pic of their truck side profile with ome 3" and Dakar's with bed unloaded and no cap. Everyone I see has their bed either super loaded or capped. And I'm just trying to get an idea of how this is supposed to look. Surgery starts tomorrow.

You saved $14 to have standard U-bolts. U-bolt flip is $69:confused:

I didn't see it was 69. I looked at the 259 kit. :( if I see fit I'll order then in the future... but for now I'll roll with these.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
if you need longer u-bolts, go to the local advanced/o' reilly/vato zone and pick up a rear block lift. ditch the block and use the u-bolts. they'll have to be cut down afterwards, but usually around $30.

Amount of thread on the ubolt is a factor to consider. Sometimes with the ubolt and block kits the thread on the bolts only go so far up. With a 1" block kit this shouldn't be an issue but one should at least consider this before buying the kit.

    Just throwing this out there

true. i've used them in a u-bolt flip kit w/o block w/ standard 3" AP leaf pack and a stock pack w/ 1.5" 3 leaf AAL.
