I think there is more butthurt by the fanboys here then the guy who got hosed by Toyota. Guy bought a NEW truck, it had issues, and toyota didn't own up. Wether the truck had them during the test drive or not is irrelevant. It's a NEW truck. Toyota is aware of this issue, and instead of stepping up, they hope the fan boys will do what they always do. Make excuses and deal with it. (See Tacoma leaf sag, engine tick, gasket leak, etc....)

This IS NOT the first case of vibration issues on a new tacoma, and is not the first case of toyota neglecting to do what's right. I'd venture to guess that if the guy kept the truck he'd be in the line of people who have a new tacoma that's sitting at the dealership with this same issue. (See tacoma vibration)

If his Xterra had this same issue, every guy on here who has a stuffed tacoma they curl up with at night would gloat and boast on how Nissan sucks, and how they knowingly turn their head instead of stepping up.

OP, I'm glad you got rid of the truck. I'm sure the Xterra will treat you better. Just don't try and wheel with a tacoma, because that is supposedly impossible.

    Wow... just wow... :crapstorm:

I'm new here too. New Taco owner, new to Toyota, and I signed up about the same time as the OP did.

You guys were pretty hard on the OP for no reason that I could see.

Is this the norm on this forum to sink to insults and catcalls because the dude was rightfully pissed about his new vehicle experience turning sour?

Is it because he was a noob? If so, great job running people off.

    Damn.

That's why I don't buy a traded in vehicle .. usually it was traded for a good (bad) reason...and you know the OP's truck will be sitting on the Nissan lot (or another Toyota lot if it doesn't sell quick)

Sucks that happened OP, . hope you find a better dealer next time.

Dude the thing is he came here and said Goodbye as the thread title implies. If he had and issue he could have posted about it and we could have helped him. The moral of the story is do not go on a forum about any vehicle and say you got rid of it.

Word of advice - if you decide to sell your Tacoma, don't post about it. Many do, however... they ALWAYS end up just like this.

He seemed happy about his rig here:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/new-members/335547-back-taco.html

And did mention his problem here:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...dnt-go-well-time-lawyer-up-3.html#post9001730

I'd be pissed too if I dropped a grip on my truck and it turned out to be a POS with a crappy dealer that didn't want to stand behind the product.

Well, since I am a Ford guy who just recently decided to move to Toyota, I'd do what the OP did and launch my POS Taco (if it was in fact a POS, currently I love my new Taco!) for a F150. I'd also vent my frustration with Toyota and their drones at whatever dealership wronged me as well on my way out.

Not going to kill myself defending the dude, but it just seemed some of the dickish posts here were out of line. I'm used to a bit more civility in forums (Ford Mustang ones, maybe in a Honda Civic forum this would be par for the course).

OK, rant over! Carry on people :D

This is the internet. Take it or leave it. Don't expect everyone here to offer the guy a blanket and hot cocoa.
