    Yeah, but I wanted a lot of strength gains fast, so I was eating twice as much as I should have with the same amount of physical activity b/c lazy

    More food doesn't equal strength at the same activity level. More food plus lifting heavier weights as in higher activity level will get strength gains.

    I was lifting heavier and for longer, plus changing to a upper/lower split, so I guess I did up the activity level and weights, but not enough to prevent fat gain. I definitely got stronger and clearly put on mass, but a few of the lbs were fat.
