I'm partial to Wheelers Offroad myself but I know there are other companies that sell the OME Kit.

So how long does it take for these things to settle because right now I'm not too happy. I took off my 6" lift kit to do down to 3" When I put the drivers side wheel on and lowered the truck I measured. Still 6" of lift. Figured it needed to settle. Couldn't move the truck since pass side is fubar'd right now so I let it sit. After about 4 hours (working on pass side all that time) it had dropped down to 5". And right before I came in I am sitting at 24" from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender on driver side.

I'm running them right now with AC. The only time it is bad is when I go too fast on a washboard gravel road. On the freeway it's great.

My truck was super high immediately after the installation too. As soon as you drive around the block, it will settle down. I'm not sure, but I think the shocks need to be cycled a few times or something...

I'm guessing you may have one of a couple things going on (or both):

    1. the UCA and LCA bushings are binding where they are used to being.

    2. the front suspension swings down and in when off the ground and after being set down, the tires haven't been allowed to shift back out (letting the suspension settle down).

If you haven't already, try driving forward or backward 5-6' to let the tires shift back out where they want to be and the suspension should drop a bit. Also, may want to try loosening the UCA eyebolts and the LCA cambolts, moving the vehicle slightly and then retorqueing them. Make sure to mark the cambolt positions so you can set your alignment back where it was if it shifts.

Drove it down the road and back came back and it was at 23.75 so a mere 1/4" drop. Then I decided to stand on my bumper with my feet in the wings and bounce the front. 23.25 bingo. Drive side is 23.25 pass is between 23.25 and 23.50 so about right where I want it to be and of course it will settle a little more. But just around the subdivision I noticed it was getting softer on the way back and there is an area they just cut in the middle of the road for a sewage line. And normally my truck would hit and jar the while truck. The front just barely dipped and came right out. No big jar like before.

This sounds like a really good explanation to what happened in my case. I never really tough about it that way, but it makes total sense.

I think my stock springs are sagging a little in the front and I want to raise it a tad while keeping a tad of rake.

I was thinking of getting some 883's. Will these give me around 1in of lift? If so can I just use the stock shocks? Thanks.

I have a camper shell, but drive a lot with no other weight in back. Dakars ride very well. Stiffer than worn out factory leafs like I had, but that is the point.

Yep , 200lbs of weight is just enough to engage the pack

Ok so went to get an alignment and no go. Said my lower ball joints and upper both on driver side are gone. I came home replaced my upper looked at the lower and determined they are smoking crack and going elsewhere tomorrow. However. I have a clunk in the front on drivers side when hitting a bump. Or a decent sized dip. Not my sway bar since I don't have one installed. I don't see the UCA hitting the strut but not ruling it out. Basically I've read this thread but can't see a fix

    OME 884- Nitros-Icon UCA's 7/8 rear blocks w TSB AT3 265/70/17
Front Nitros with 884's, trim packer, toytec 1/4" spacer. Still not level btw. Rear Nitros with TSB leafs, 7/8 block from Lowrange Offroad. 38" from ground to bottom edge of fender flares all the way around. Left front varies from 37.5 (full tank) to 37.75 on empty. The ride is awesome IMO. No aftermarket bumpers. 12 access cab. Just put on Cooper AT3 265/70/17's made ride feel even better.
