My wife loves bears ... I'm under strict orders to leave the bears alone unless they are threatening my life or that of someone else. After seeing how much the bone structure resembles a human, I couldn't hunt them either.

Just checking in with my mid-shift peoples. 4 more days 'til back to work Tuesday night. Caribou herd wasn't in Chicken like they have been last three years. That trip turned into an expensive, extremely cold, but fun camping trip. Nice to get out and off the grid for a few days none the less.

We did fill a moose tag Saturday before we left Monday morning for Chicken. So, with the 4 moose quarters hanging in the garage, we came back from Chicken Thursday and spent Friday processing the moose. Steaks, roasts, and stew meat vacuum sealed and in the freezer. Today we'll make burger, chorizo, and pepperoni. Lot of work, but it makes for some good eating.

We'll have to wait on ADF&G reports of herd movement to decide if a return trip will be worth it. Herd was reported to be moving towards Chicken before we left, but then apparently stalled and are hanging out 400 miles NW of the valley we hunt.

Pretty good, passed the heck out after I got home at 16:00 after class and slept through until 23:20 which is pretty unusual for me lately. Feels so good to be rested at work.

The taco's has some chudder on take-off from a stop recently, research points to the carrier bearing perhaps? It's uncommon and not readily reproducible so I can't take it into the dealer$hip yet; the truck only has 15k on it and I'd rather let them fix it since it's under warranty.

What I don't get is my truck is a non-off road version and isn't lifted. I figured that sort of thing only hit lifted trucks. Oh well!

I guess I better check in.

Been getting notifications to my phone for the last several hours and it would just be plain disrespectful to ignore you fine people. I got no excuse, seening how I'm sitting in front of a PC with nothing much better to do.

Another 4 hours and out of here for a snooze and the official start of my vacation. grabbing the wife and the 5th wheel camper to hit one of the state parks on the east side of the lower part of the state. Sorry, gotta use the Tundra to haul that. I would rather be out in the Tacoma for most things, but the Tundra rocks for towing!

Friday gonna head to the west side of the state to kick off the official salmon fishing season. Fisherman rules prevent me from listing the full name of the river, but the initials are B.M. Keep that on the down low

Sunday I get to spend some time on the Tacoma. Gonna fab me up an off road bumber. Thinking and ARB clone. Hopefully that pans out. Life gets in the way of good intentions all the time.

Working. Got a bunch of boilers that I have to keep an eye on. When they run good I can spend a bit of time on the 'net.
