    It was in the teens Wed and Thu night along Chicken Ridge. Had to thaw our frozen water bottles to make coffee and breakfast. Good thing I picked up a buddy heater for the tent before we left.

    First week of midnights almost done, got to do the overnight tonight. Had trouble sleeping one of the days, grandkid was here and workers were putting a new roof on the house. Seems like I'll be closing on this house on the 19th in the morning and also closing on my new place on the 19th in the afternoon. should be fun doing the overnight shift that day! I've been a busy guy lately, but things should settle down in a few weeks. I hate to talk much about myself, but I'll own 2 houses outright with no mortgage payments very soon. Getting myself set up for the "real" retirement, no more false starts.:eek:
