Still on leave ... Fell asleep in front of TV earlier for about 3 hrs. Now my old age and mid- shift norm has me wide awake.

My poor internal clock must spend half it's time asking "WTF are we doing now?"

You looking forward to starting the new job? I'm glad that all worked out for you; know the old boss was a huge frustration for you.

    Morning ken,

The knee is good, was just a cool flesh wound. Nail pierced the skin and came out about an inch below that.

good news on the knee...gotta be careful with nailers...using a framer and fired one off and missed the stud and broke a window across the street from where I was:eek:...

   ...

Ya I've never had an issue before and my labourer was below me watching me work. He didn't know where the nail shot from because he saw me aiming the nailer at the end of the rafter. There was also stepped up wall on the outside of the spot I was nailing so it shouldn't have come through

I've watched guys shot at seagulls with the nailers lol

I'm planning to stay for a while. It's a pretty physical job, I'm on my feet moving at a quick pace all the time. I come home with sore feet and legs, but they are fine after a few hours of sleep. I'm pretty sure my body will adjust quickly. I do enjoy the work, there is a lot of older, temperamental machinery that needs to be "coddled". I could do without it being midnight to 8 AM though, hopefully I can get on to a more reasonable shift soon.
    :woot:
    Thanks Craig.
    Thanks, I appreciate it!

Invest in some good comfy boots  Yeah, you'll adjust in a little while.
