Are we sure it's ABS and not stability control. He lifted his truck, which means stability control is still set at his old center of gravity. When he turns, his truck is sensing the higher center of gravity and thinks he's about to flip the truck. You have to get that recalibrated at a Toyota dealer.

It's 2nd gens that do have Vehicle Stability Control(VSC). First gens don't have it. Now I've never heard of it being a problem on a 5lug, mostly 6 lugs. But then again, most people don't lift their 5 lugs.

Yeah. There's threads on here about it. 2nd gens that lift their truck have this issue. But it should be doing more then just flipping a light on. It should be trying to correct itself via brakes and throttle. In order to fix it, you have to have Toyota recalibrate it for the new height.

I agree I think it might be that. When the beeping happens in the tight turn something feels like there is almost a stabilizer type thing that seems to roll over to the side where the truck is turning I don't know I may just be imagining things :p

Yeah, it sounds to me like it's VSC kicking in early cause of your lift. Easiest way to test it would be to go do some donuts and read what the light says lol. VSC should light up as VSC. ABS would be either ABS, or a vehicle with tire marks under it(not sure what a 2nd gen uses as a light). Research it, there are threads on it. I don't think you can calibrate it yourself though. I think Toyota has to do it.

I'm saying Toyota doesn't have a 2.0 in their trucks. They never have. Your engine is a 2.7L
