    OK.. so!

Saturday I'm going back in to have the above mentioned things done.

the Vibrant is a 12" ultra quiet.

doin 300-350 cell high flow cats on each side of the Y.

we will see how it turns out.

Sounds good man! I hope that combo does something, because Ive been told multiple times that a 12" resonator doesn't do a hole lot..

    Good Luck!

Ive recently have noticed in the last few days that my exhaust has gotten alittle louder and deeper. Sounds awesome!

Well the 12" is the ultra quiet. If I were to do a regular vibrant resonator I would have gone 18"

Sounds better, But I think it has more of a rasp sound or maybe its just the video. But I would've gone with a bigger resonator. like a 16-18" and it would've been alot deeper low end growl sounding.
But it is a lot better than before.

well the ultra quiet is so i dont have to have an 18". more material in the can compared to the 18" bottle styles. plus.. i only have one set of cats.. my long tubes dont allow for any front cats, which adds to the rasp.

the only thing I may do is change out the Aero.

That's definitely an improvement over the first setup, but I think the engine itself doesn't produce enough exhaust to fill a 3 inch muffler and pipe, so the sound passes right through.

But I understand your situation because I've changed the exhaust on my truck so many times experimenting to discover just the right combination, I should have had the muffler guy put zippers on everything! But that's what life is about... finding out... and you're definitely moving in the right direction.

    Thanks buddy.

I may step down to 2.5".. like you said.. there are just so many combinations. Next will be a different muffler. Probably a Borla.. then. If I don't like it, ill do the 2.5".

Downsizing will get you where you want to be. :)
I'm totally sold on Flowmaster. Combined with the long tube header on my 2.7 and 2.25 inch mandrel pipe, it sounds exactly like half of a Ford Mustang! Seriously, it sounds so good, and has this really smooth harmonic 'Lamborghini howl" at 2,000 to 2,300 rpms. Half the time I turn off my radio just to listen to the music. ;)

so.. i know this thread is for Aero's..

and its already gotten somewhat off topic.. but..

Borla mufflers.. anyone got one? recommend one? im like addicted to trying all these setups now to find the perfect sound for my ears. lol

im wanting to swap mufflers (cheapest and easiest test) before changing any of the piping again.

as of now.. i like the deep note of my setup. but would like to quiet it down some (for in cabin noise) and eliminate a tad more of the rasp.

thinking a different muffler instead of the Aero's straight through design is a good start.

Can't help with the info but I know who can help you unload the Aero Turbine exhaust and can maybe work something out if you want to step down do stock size piping again!

Just waiting on the mufflers then it's straight to performance to have it all built

Getting ready to pick one of these up. Thinking of picking up a down turned exhaust tip and putting it right after the muffler. Does that sound doable or should I keep the stock piping after the 2525xl and dump it after the axle?

You'll get more drone if you dump it right after the muffler. Mine is dumped after the axle.. not too bad..
