Cut more than you think is necessary. I had cut what I had thought would be plenty and almost had to cut more. Reference pictures help a ton and whatever you do don't let Dylan cut it out :D It turn out prettty well imo, the drivers side is the best but I may be a little biased since I tubbed that side.

    Hahaa.....No Dylan....Check:D

Good to hear. With the cut out flares and 33x12.5's it still rubs when stuffed pretty hard...If I'm going to start cutting Might was well take out everything you can. Wouldn't want to have to redo that job.

I'd want to color match my grille but I'm not sure how it'd look on my 2000. So I'll leave it black ha :D

Did the same thing...really don't like the front end of the 98-00's so I blacked out the whole thing to hide it...:)

I might have found a donor vehicle for a '02 swap

I like the front end but every time I see an 01-04 color matched grille it makes me want one

Haha I just wanted to make sure I cut enough! And I most definently did! :) I think I did a decent job for my 3rd time using a grinder!! Lol :p

hate them, such a huge tire and way to aggressive for any on road activity, would probably wear wrong in 15000 miles.

Now in all seriousness this is Chris's buddy's tire that is a spare on his 4runner. I borrowed it so I could get this done this week end. My tires will be here Wednesday :p

The wear life would be my biggest concern. Spending the $$ once is bad enough. But then again in another 2 years is a deal breaker...

On road the only thing I would be concerned about would be rain. Let's face it. A Taco is no sports car and handles like crap just fine on their own :burnrubber:

No room to take a decent pic in the driveway but thought I would show some progress on my Relentless DIY rear bumper with custom high clearance sides

Thanks guys it looks really good from the side I just couldn't get a pic, there is a piece of plate that goes in between the tubes and a support that goes back to the frame mount so it can actually take a hit.

Finally have a garage to store my camper shell and pulled that crappy plastic bed liner! Was worried that water had been sitting underneath it and rusted out but it looks pretty good. A quick wash and it should be good as new. Line-X in my future!

I really like this. Please post pics once installed!

Really like this too :) I always wonder though, what are those cut outs for left of the recovery point? I always assumed back up lights but I was never sure? Going to paint it black?

So I'm going to get this ball joints installed hopefully within the month (between work full time and school, I barely have time to wipe my ass). I went out of my way to make sure I bought OEM ones and even ordered replacement bolts because I want reliable quality and no issues for another 100k mi. I was surprised to see the cast looking the way it did. I've seen pictures of those 555 ball joints and they have a really uniform finish. I've seen other casted Tacoma parts that also look very good such as the fins between brake rotors.

These came inside a toyota genuine parts bag with the label and everything, but do they look OEM? Do I have cause for worry, or am I just being paranoid?
