Dallas is just so bad. And the "experts" always say romo will have a great year blah blah blah. He's the same romo he's always been. Until jerry jones dies, the cowboys won't be good again.

I'll tell ya what, I'm seeing social media lose it's collective shit over this whole 'Ray Rice video' thing. I thought it was bullshit before, and that 2 games was too little. But I was sorta willing to go "Well, if she was the one whackin' im upside the head and he took 5 or 6 hits and told her "one more and I'm dropping you like a heart attack" and she hit him again, and THEN he drilled her one...well, that's just a smaller version of 'justifiable homicide'.

Then I actually watched the leaked tape of what happened in the elevator.

    ...

    ...

    Wow.

The only thing I want now from Darth Goodell is something like this:

"After further review, my broad and limitless authority under the Personal Conduct policy allows me to pretty much do as I see fit. So, Mr. and Mrs. Rice, best wishes to you. If you're still wed after a year, we'll get you a blender and a kitchenaid mixer. Personalized.

Otherwise, your contract is hereby terminated effective immediately, and you are released. Any of the other 31 teams wants to sign you can...but I'm meeting with all of those front offices this week, and you've got a better shot at catching Ebola than you do having one of these clubs pick you up.

Feel free to sue us over it...the NFLPA is pretty much on our side here. In the meantime, cut that shit out."

If it is anything less....well...I guess we'll have our proof of who and what Goodell is and is about.

Supposedly the NFL is taking the stance that it did not have access to the full video in the elevator.

The problem is the NFL and it's spokesmen were quoted numerous time back in July specifically stating that they not only saw it, but it had mitigating circumstances, so shut up about our giving RayRay a two game wrist slap.

Rice's contract was terminated by the Ravens. Don't think he will land anywhere else in the NFL.

Who'd take him at this point?

The NFL is all about PR and image. It's money to them.

No team is so hard up that they'd take the PR nightmare from every married fan and female fans (yes, there are some) for an aging, over the hill RB. Not even the basement dwellers of recent time.

He's out. The only question is, at this point, is it permanent or not?

/what's the over-under on how long until Janay files for divorce now that the money's stopped flowing?

I'm conflicted. I'm glad Ray Rice's punishment getting closer to fitting the crime. However, I had heard that Ray Rice knocked his wife, fiance at the time, out in an elevator. I don't know what Goodell and the Ravens imagined the circumstances of the elevator beat down to be that prolonged them from making a move until the video evidence was leaked. This should have been handled appropriately long before the video leaked.

Sucks that their little girl will one day inevitably see the video of her daddy knocking out her mommy.

    That's called NFL Accounting.

The whole thing is a clusterfuck of epic proportions, but it's how teams must manage the cap every year in order to be compliant. By lawyers and accountants, for lawyers and accountants.
