Pretty sure the title of the thread "What personal protection do you keep in your Tacoma?" is asking a direct question of what exactly do I keep in my Tacoma. Which is what I posted. However, he could have stated further guidelines as to the responses he is looking for, but, I did not go to page 1 of the thread, which would explain as to why I missed the part that he said "besides a gun". My bad OP.

So to PROPERLY answer the question, as so poignantly pointed out by Sir Frosted Flakes.

I have a Deluth 21 OZ framing hammer, a maple mini bat I made when I was in highschool, a 14 inch piece of 300 guage copper electrical cable (sample only of course, as I am a contractor), Benchmade Mini Griptilian and a fixed blade knife that a Special Forces friend gave me in the access door. This is all in association to the Glock 19....Gen 4.

Thanks! Actually another member on here did it, Greg (07TRD4x4) owns GKC Armory in Sacramento, check em out.

Not if you have a CCW :D

It's the 23C, compensated with the competition trigger. I Love it. The pull is super crisp and short. My buddy who is a gunsmith hates glocks, but after shooting mine he wants one. You just need to find the right model. I have a Shield .40 and it's a much longer pull than the glock

x2 I carry my glock as much as my Shield.

Priorities: I personally tend to avoid going places where personal protection would be a really good idea..."change of plans honey, we wont go have dinner at that smashing new crack house in Detroit tonight, how about sushi?"

That leaves me with the single best option, and that is to simply drive away. No legal quagmires to slog through, unlike drawing a weapon while *not* the subject of an open and shut case of home invasion.

If society in America does complete its fall to the third world globalist model and we're blithely stepping over week old dead bodies to see if there's any food being handed out that day...well, that's a different beast altogether.

Other than guns and knives, I keep one of these at all times.

    collapsible police baton

Just so you know if you hit something hard it can bend the one I sent as a pic. However they are $10 shipped so who cares.

I have a really nice one that is spring loaded so you push a button and flings out fast vs having to snap it out with your arm. One time it went off by accident and put a nice dent into the floor pan of my civic so I don't carry it too much.

it’s a retractable or collapsable baton. I think they maybe illegal to carry(not own just carry) in some states unless you are LEO(or security, ect), but could be wrong. LEO guys can chime in on that i’m sure and tell you for sure.

With any “protection” you carry in a vehicle it would be wise to look at the laws in your state on carrying that item.
