Pete, Mine is at Oxmoor Toyota in Louisville, since last Tuesday. Service rep left a voice mail today, that it will be ready late Monday or Tuesday. Was hoping it would take about 2 weeks. Toyota is paying for me to drive a fully loaded Dodge Durango Limited. Would have thought they would have put me in a Corrolla or Prius

I just joined TW after searching for info on the rusting frame on my 2006 Tacoma. TW has the best information out there-so thanks. While patching my differential housing - which had rusted through - I noticed how rusty my frame was and started looking for new info. After reading this thread, I took my truck to the dealer. They had not heard about the program, but they looked at my frame, called Toyota and got right back to me. They said the recall had not started in NY (I live in central NY-lots of salt), but that it would shortly. They said my truck was safe to drive but that the frame had at least one perforation, and that they think that qualifies me for a new frame sometime in the next few months. Although I have been watching for years for news on this, I could not find good info until I found it on TW.

Reg...yes it was Festing Toyota in Huntsville.... Not very good service from them in all the time I've had my truck.... I will NOT let them touch it again...!!

Good thing I have looked after it... will not need a frame in my lifetime...!!

Just found holes on my 05 DCSB frame. Calling tomorrow to setup an inspection here in VA. Hopefully we will get letters soon.

Anyone else in VA having issues?

I was just undercoating it to fight the rust when I found this.

I wonder if MD is eligible yet? No service recall comes up under my VIN.

Why don't people wait until 2016? I'd rather wait till the limit before having them inspecting my truck so if the frame has to rust out, I would have more chance of having it replaced.

What am I not getting here?

That makes sense to me, but I thought this had to be done by March 2015

Pride of ownership. If you've paid for something, cared for it, and maintained it while using it as a intended, you come up pretty steamed when something this integral fails.

My original plan was to wait until the March 30, 2016 date as well, but once you find a hole you don't feel like waiting, especially if the company knows there is a flaw and is already addressing it elsewhere.

2015 is the deadline for the 1st gen Tacoma's if I recall. 2016 is supposed to be the end of the 2nd gen trucks.

Called Toyota yesterday only to be informed my vehicle was not included in the Limited Service Capaign. Hopefully it is included once VA starts getting their letters. Keeping my fingers crossed. My frame looks fine except for the spots by the cat's, theres a golf ball size hole on drivers side.

I don't think they are to worried about the rust through. The pile of frames I saw that were replaced had just severe surface rust and rust holes in them.

Do you have any pics of the frame by a chance? Just wondering how would an '06 frame maintained (Corrossion Free) from brand new compare to some of the other 05-06' trucks around here that were left alone...

Hell, if I wait until then, might not have a frame left...
