hey what part is it that tells you how much gas is actually in the tank? is it the fuel sending unit?

my gas gauge has been off for awhile now, thats actually what ended up causing my fuel pump to burn up almost a year ago. thought I had just under a 1/4 tank when in reality I had nothing in the tank. My fuel low light also doesnt work either, right now Im really just going by mileage and knowing that the gauge is off by almost 1/4 for whenever I fill up.

This is like one of the last things I need to get fixed on my truck other than alignment and other small stuff like pullies and stuff. I've already fixed my driveline vibs and my drum brake problem I had and this was one of the last bigger things I needed to get fixed and im not exactly too sure where to start for this

 

Yes its the fuel sending unit & it's located in the gas tank.

 

The goodman place on Silver Star and JYP...Did a building search there with Bolt...Manager has a badass Jeep..good dude

it's not too much of a priority right now but I figured I'd at least do some research and see what i would need to do to get the gauge fixed from being off. Whenever I get my bumper from eddy here within this next week Ill be able to get that and my winch mounted up, get the coilovers raised a bit to compensate for the weight then get her aligned and she'll be pretty much good to go

 

Just a heads up for those not following the sticker thread:

There is a meet happening this Saturday the 13th around noon at the Hooters in Lakeland again. Same place as before. Tony will have the FLTacomas decals with him that people ordered to hand out. If you don't attend he will mail them to you.

I am planning on going as long as nothing comes up before then. I know Trail Cat said he was going. Thinking of meeting up for the Orlando guys that want to go to convoy again. Let me know if you are interested in that. Thanks.

Hooters opens at 11 and beer sales are at 12 noon. Tony wanted to meet about 12:30, However might want to get there a little earlier because of the collage football crowd.

Cant remember how long it took from McDonalds to hooters last time, I think only like 30 minutes or so. But why not make it 11 if that sounds good to you?

I saw your post in the sticker thread and I have a SWR with the 3ft jumper cable too. cant find the paper instructions but im 99.9% sure they all work the same and you can easily find them online. lmk if you want me to bring it.

 

Yes please. If need be I will google it to make sure. We did it last time and couldn't get any change. Couldn't get it better than 4.0. Fingers crossed this time is better.

alright ill have it. You can even keep it for awhile to mess around with the wiring and whatnot. I have no use for it right now. I can always get it at another meet or something.
