Doesn't look like a big block to me, but I've been known to be wrong once or twice.

Logitech Z5300e. 5.1, THX certified, 280 RMS, 560W peak if I recall. I know they add all the speakers individually to get to the 280, but 100 of it is the sub.

It's not a crazy thumping high dollar system, but it's more than loud enough for my uses.

I still have all my audio gear in the STi too...I keep going back and forth on pulling it out. I've got a DVD/Nav double DIN, Polk components upfront, Polk co-ax in the rear doors, two amps and a Polk 10" sub in a sealed box. I had two subs for a bunch of years, but it got to the point that it was just overpowering.

The funny thing is back in my prime I wanted to overpower everything. My buddy had a Civic Si hatch back in the FnF days with a Wings West Big Mouth sitting all of 3" off the ground with a SS Autotek 1000w amp powering two Stealth Audio 12" Megalouds. He cracked the rear view mirror off the windshield and blurred my vision on day.

Now I'm okay with quality over quantity. Trying not to be a snob about it though. I can't afford nice enough audio for snobbery type, plus crappy pop punk doesn't need great speakers to sound good.

I have a full Klipsch 5.1 made up of 2 klipsch forte's, 2 klipsch KG .5, klipsch kv 2 and a Rw12d sub...all the speakers are from the 90's picked most of them up on Craig's.... I don't have a legitimate 2 channel setup anymore because of...well wife... She didn't like the look of the tube amp....but the forte's will rattle your sphincter even off of a receiver....love klipsch

I'm just running a mid 1990's Pioneer 100x2. Surround sound wouldn't happen the way my living room is set up, no real way to do it right without losing the picture window and blocking the front door. Granted I don't use the door but it would also be tough to use the stairs and get into the spare room there.

Tough to judge size in the picture, i always look at the header and see how spaced out the collectors are, big blocks you can easily count 4 coming out of the head, small blocks the second and third are combined. Also look at the valve covers, big blocks have 3 screws on the top and 4 on the bottom, small blocks have 2 top, 2 bottom.

Yeah, I was thinking it looked like a small block too.
Maybe he started with a 454 smally and bored it to 460? I've seen that once or twice on Chevelles at the car shows, and I'm pretty sure boring a 454 at .030 will yield 460 or thereabouts.

But like you said, I've been wrong before too.

    Edit:
    Also, good morning, beeches.

sooo I guess I need to look at a new muffler. I hate noise from the muffler the stock ones are way to spendy... and the walker ones like the one above don't last for shit. So anyone know if the huge magnaflows are pretty quite?

I had one from API on my '99 before I sold it back to Toyota. Sounded nice; kind of throaty but not annoyingly loud. I painted the whole thing with hi-temp grill paint before I installed it and it still looked brandy-new when I got rid of the truck, two years later.
I think it cost me $125 for the whole assembly? Not sure what the brand was, though.

I should have painted the walker stock remake that I got. I think this time im going to get a stainless steel muffler and higher quality tailpipe so I can get more than a couple years out of it.
