Speaking of psi, what's normal for city driving? I have a set of Hankook Dynapro AT/M 265/75R16. Just want to get some opinions. Thanks.

I ran mine around 50 in my civic, road fine wear was ok and lasted at least 60000. But I didn't really give a shit cause they cost around $300.

Just installed Cooper Discovery A/T 265/75R16's 2 days ago. Running them @ 37psi now, I think I will take them down to 32psi. They are stiffer than the 265/70R16's that were on before. So far I like them, I still have plenty of clearance and much more traction.

Picture are terrible but you get the idea. I'm guessing they are a sort of dust shield.

Ow and ow. I must be getting old and crotchety because I don't know how you guys deal with the stiffer ride.

BTW, stock pressure for 265/70r16s on the xtra cab is 26psi front and 29psi rear.

The metal is soft enough you can gently bend them back into shape with a pair of pliers. That's what I had to do on my last TGP one I bought and had shipped to me.

Welllll today I watched my Tacoma hauled off to a part-out/scrap yard... but not before getting all my goodies off! lol.

    Background....
Had an accident a couple weeks ago on the way to work where someone pulled out right in front of me. Caught them in the corner of my eye, I was too close to even react to avoid them. I hit their '98 saturn wagon and sent it flying. I was so close that when they made a right turn on red and started to come out into my lane they only got into the street far enough that my trucks passenger front tire nailed the front tire of their car... so bumper couldnt really deflect any of the impact, instead the tire and frame took all of it. Buckled behind the front suspension, whole passenger rail pushed back a couple inches and the rear under the bed bent over toward the driver side from their car spinning around and hitting my rear tire/axle. Additionally there was the cosmetic stuff like the bumper/hood/fender, and even my front bed cross support was bent and the bolts holding the cab tore through the floor of the cab. :( bye bye taco.

Before parting, can really see the twist in this pic

Said eff it and cut a hood decal out of matte carbon fiber vinyl. I eye balled the lines I wanted and used a tape line to cut against. Turned out nice. I almost did the whole hood, but I'm kinda glad I didn't.

Autozone if you have one nearby, carries a 35mm 1/2" drive socket that works fine.

Certainly sad to see the truck go! Almost had it 'done'.

I made out with whiplash leaving back/neck pain, no broken bones or anything internal though. Been going to a chiropractor since the accident, starting to feel better. On that note.... healing from this and a welding hood on my head doesnt really go together! Havent been able to weld much since the accident without being in bad pain. :annoyed:
