Anyone have experience with water immersion performance of the new, "all-automatic" transfer case and forward axle engaging mechanisms? There's sure a lot of electricals on the new transfer case, and they do not look like they will work if wet -- causing failure of all 4x4 mechanisms when most needed. I wish it were all manual, but gotta live with what there is.

The only real place where water intrusion can occur is thru the breather vents...There are some write ups on how to extend those in order to keep them outta the water. Some are extended already...some need extra tubing.

Thanks for the breather tube reply-- that's not my concern. It is for the electric connections to the transfer case switches. Are they submersible?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Yes, they are sealed. The electrical circuit only engages and disengages the system. It doesn't "hold" it. If there were an electrical failure do to water or what have you, you would simply not be able to engage or disengage.
