I can't wait to start on it. I want to put lights everywhere! Might buy extra to run some under can lights. Not sure if I want those red or white though.

I plan on putting some white LED strips on the bottom of the door panels facing the ground and tie them into the dome light circuit, that way I'll have ground lighting when I open the doors.

Well, Marty's hit the first of many milestones. Yesterday he hit the 30k mile mark and he still drives like day 1! actually, even BETTER than day 1! This most recent oil change I put synthetic in and it feels like butter! The 5100's have settled in nicely and are riding great! Duratracs still have probably another 35k miles on them left. Going to be changing the plugs and diff oil soon. I think i'm even more in love with this truck than when I first bought it! I'm taking him out this weekend for his 30k mark celebration. Still many plans left for him and only time will tell what he'll end up like. Look forward to many more happy years of experience with him!

Almost there...on my way to play tennis.

Question for anyone who cares (as if people actually read this)...light bar higher or lower?

Yeah I know, me too I think. But not quite as low as it was before. But still below the middle of the grill.

Yep :) but then I broke the 21" bar on the bottom clean off the mounts.

How the hell did you break it off the mounts?

Hard landing from a jump tweaked the radiator crossbar to where the stock bumper and the the grille line up, just enough to the point to tweak the soft aluminum on the bar mounts, then boom! Snapped clean off. Lol. Shouldn't ever be an issue for you if you don't plan to beat the crap out of yours like I do though!

Well, it helps when you have the knowledge to work on your own stuff. Reduces the costs of ownership tenfold at the expense of some time out of your day. Lol.

It's ok. It ended up being a blessing in disguise!

haha yeah, I do most of the work on my truck that I have the tools to do properly...but parts are expensive if you break the right combination of shit. I just hate spending money! lol

I do as well, but hey, you gotta pay to play right?! Lol

The worse I've ever done so far is do an axle boot replacement because a small incision was made into it at the clamp out of some freak accident after a wheeling trip at the sandy dunes of Pismo Beach. It was spewing crap everywhere.

Guess who's finally getting some UCAs?!?! THIS GUY! A local member is upgrading to heim'd UCAs so I'm buying his old ones. Also going to try to order my 887 coils before then and slap those on along with the new UCAs. Can't WAIT!
