Your trailer axle tube is bent

 

Doh! That's the way they come from the factory... It's to allow the axel to be straight when it's carrying a lot of weight.

 

It's surprising actually how many people comment on axles being slightly bent upwards.

It is purposely bent from the factory though

 

Currently working on the inside layout of where all the new fancy equipment will be placed.

Where do you all think the bottle opener should be placed?

 

Everywhere! No respectable beer drinker should have to walk to a bottle opener!

Thanks for following along!! I am a big fan of seeing the process myself so I wanted to make sure I gave the same to everyone who might be interested.

Every successful man has more than one source of income.
So basically I am saying start mowing lawns or something to put towards you getting one even faster

 

haha. Ive dumped a ton of money into my 2014. Maybe when I "finish it" next year Ill start a trailer build.

Numerous products have started rolling in to start stage 2 including:

Goose Gear custom side walls / bulkhead and modular drawer
NorCold NR751 Stainless Steel Refrigerator
Truma Combi 4 forced air het and water heat unit
(2) Odyssey PC1800 Batteries
Zamp Solar 2000 watt inverter with 160 watt portable solar panels

I have also replaced the cheap Thule load bar system with the SlimLine 2 rack from FrontRunner Outfitters. The quality and overall usability difference is incredible.

I don't have the trailer in my possession so it's hard to get too many photos right now. I live in Utah and my trailer is in California with Goose Gear. I'll likely pick it up sometime in January.

 

Updates on the trailer build:

I got in numerous products that I have been mocking up locations on and pretty much grot it dialed in. Now onto hard mounting, plumbing and wiring.

NorCold Fridge :



side door added for access to fridge and control panel



mock up of control panel with wood - this will be finished in Goose Gear material



Odyssey Batteries / Truma Combi 4 / Rigid Industries SRQ2 flush mounts :



Goose Gear :

mock up of the side walls that will be added to keep the wiring, plumbing etc out of site and provide a clean cargo area. outlets will be added to these as well in the future. bulkhead will also be added separating the Norcold fridge and Truma Combi unit from the cargo area.

 

At the Toys 4 Tots event at Camp Pendleton this weekend Goose-Gear brought out my trailer to display the newly finished drawer unit that is mounted on my CargoGlide giving me great use of space and keeping my gear organized. Eliminating the need for random tupperware strapped down all over the place. Making my camp life much easier!
