This is all just my opinion, but the pros are just missing something that college football has. The traditions, rivalries, and everything else that comes with college football just makes it that much more intense. There's a reason Sanford Stadium holds 92,746 people and the Georgia Dome holds 71,228...people would rather watch the Dawgs than the Falcons. And, most importantly, as Brian Peterson of Bleacher Report said, "It has always been true that college players play for the name on the front of the jersey, not the back." Matt Ryan could get traded tomorrow and be ready to play for whoever next Sunday. If Todd Gurley transferred from UGA, there'd be riots.

While I agree with your statements, keep in mind that the love that you have for college football is somewhat regional. Some, due to success, other due to tradition and history. For instance, even here in Indiana, Notre Dame football isn't talked about as much as the Indianapolis Colts. While the whole state of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana etc., etc. care more about college.

Dallas Cowboys.... It's all about putting on a good show and entertaining people and not purely the game. It doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you put in a good show and sale out the seating.

Considering he just extended Tony Romo's contract I would have to say no.

Well...see there was this basketball player who is suing the NCAA...for using his likeness to make millions....and so one way around the NCAA or your school is to put your nickname on a shirt...and make millions...so if you trademark it...you too, can make money.....

It's hard to explain, but growing up in the South, there is so much tradition about college sports, especially football. You are almost given a team at birth. The level of competitiveness and raw talent really draw me to it more than pro football. That is not say I don't watch it, but given the choice, I would watch college football any day. That sweet electric atmosphere in a stadium full of fans on a crisp fall day is hard to beat. (God help me for agreeing with a UGA fan... :D )

As stated above, ^ this. I do agree it's regional. I work with a lot of people who moved here from the Northeast, and they don't get the obsession with college sports.

I think he needs to win a Heisman and a Natty, without rape charges, dick pics, pics with money and cocaine, and have killer stats....oh, and get a degree, before he needs to be trademarking nicknames.

I agree, however, (prolly get flamed over this) college ball is becoming the very same as pro ball. Spend the most money on facilities, stadiums etc: you start to draw the cream of the players. High school ball is being contaminated as well, in my small hometown, who has never been known as a powerhouse team. Are actually recruiting kids, moving families in, giving parents jobs for the city or local plants. Have just completed a multi million stadium renovation and indoor practice field.

Yea, Kenny trill is the dumbest nickname I've ever heard. Kenny Thrill would make more sense.
