Aluminum iPhone mount for off-road & daily use

-The Mob Mount is a U.S.A. made aluminum phone mount I designed the mount because I was sick of losing my phone all over the cab of my Tacoma when I was off road.

-It works by a slide clamping phones with or without a case securely into its aluminum arms and then attaching by magnet to a steel disc on your dash. The steel mounting disc uses a high bond non permanent

3M VHB to attach to any flat surface. This stuff is the same adhesive GoPro uses for their sticky mounts, its very, very strong and doesn't leave a trace if you want to remove it later. The Mount has a tilt and swivel housing that is easy to use and can orient the phone to many viewing angles for you or your passengers to use with no set screws. The Mount will allow full access to all data jacks, buttons, speakers, and is very easy to use. Your phone can be installed in seconds and removed even faster for daily driver use.

-It can easily be pulled off the mounting disc to take a call (NOT WHILE DRIVING ON PUBLIC ROADS), change GPS directions, etc. When you are done, just aim and stick it back to the steel mount disc.

-The Mob mount will work for iPhone 3G - 5S with just about every case on the market that is popular. Lifeproof, Otterbox, soft cases, bumper cases, plastic shell cases etc. It has worked for Samsung S3 and S4 and will work for many smart phones similar size to the iPhone 5.

-It WILL work for the new iPhone 6 but with no case. We are in production of a larger mount that will work for Samsung S5, Note 3, HTC M8, iPhone 6 with any case, iPhone 6 Plus, and many other larger phablet type phones.

These mounts have been desiged and tested using my Tacoma, many of you may have seen it. These things are very strong when mounted.. Desert tested, Dune tested, they do not fall off your dash.

The large Mob Mount will definitely work for Note 2-4 and was solidworks tested to make sure we allow the biggest of cases (Otterbox) for the note 3.

 

Can't wait for the large mount to come out!

 

Nexus 4 will work and should work with a slim case. Otterbox case on nexus 4 is too large. It would work in the Mob Mount large that is coming soon.

I am in if you can confirm the HTC One with Otterbox, I can get you exact dimensions with calipers if need be.

So stoked you busted out the caliper to check, not many of our customers have given us that kind of dimensions of their phone.

The max range of the mount we have to offer for this group buy is about 5.44" in length, unfortunately! I designed the mount around my iPhone 5S in the Lifeproof case which measure to about 5.4" (138mm)


We will likely run this same exact group buy with the larger mount when it is out of production in late September/Early October.

 

Also, This is often over looked.

These mounts are incredibly useful when working on your truck, working in the shop, driving a tractor, cooking,... on and on.

The magnet on the bottom of the mount is a 15lb pull so it is quite strong considering the whole weight of the mount with the phone installed is far less than a 1/2 lb.


I use mine when I am running my buddies CNC plasma table to keep my phone up off the shop tables. I also use it frequently when I am working on my truck, its legit to have TW on my phone and get the info I need hands free when I am wrenching under my truck.

These are not just for off-road use, I use mine every day for commuting, running errands and much more.

 

I will for sure be interested in the mount for the iphone 6 as I will be snagging that up

 

Are going to grab iPhone 6 or the 6 plus?

The 6 plus is massive. lol

 

I`ll be watching for the Galaxy S5 mount. I don`t like the Ram X-Grip that I use now.

 

Disappointed, but will be waiting on the next GB

Ram mounts are... I'll keep my thoughts to myself.

We manufacture our mounts in San Luis Obispo, USA. The quality is much much greater than many other Chinese mounts that are shipped over here and sold for pennies on the dollar.

Ram literally makes a mount for everything, we can't beat them at that we are a pretty small time operation.

 

I like my Ram Mount because someone doesn't on here doesn't make a mount for larger sized phones

 

Sorry to disappoint! We have had a huge demand for the larger mount and are literally pushing production as fast as possible.
