I don't have steering wheel controls, but if I did, yes. You just have to buy the adapter. It's pretty pricey though, so I'm glad I don't have steering wheel controls haha.

ah. the only thing that has kept me out of a new head unit is that the steering wheel controls seem to be iffy, and im not willing to give up my ability to mess with that from the steering wheel

Almost every head unit I looked at had ability to add on steering wheel controls. I chose the Pioneer because it's the best bang for your buck. Not every option is standard, but there's so much room to expand. I could get GPS and Bluetooth all through it but I have no use for that. I don't talk on the phone in the truck and I already have a Garmin.

yeah, my main thing is being able to change the volume and station without taking my hands off the wheel. i might do the aux input here soon so when i go out of state i dont have to reach over for the scan button.

Rear of the unit. USB is ran to glovebox, AUX is ran to center console. AUX will only be used if anyone rides with me and plugs their shit in, so I didn't want it visible. I keep a 32gb iPod in the glovebox with my music on it, and control it through the HU.

Thats what i prefer. But i want the name of the play list, song, album art and all of that displayed too. Does it charge the device as well?

With the grom unit plugged into the back of my stock head unit, my ipod is married to my glove box and i love that.

I'm not sure if mine displays the playlist, but I don't use playlists so it doesn't really bother me. Yeah, it keeps my iPod charged.
