    Bad teeth can kill, and I was very stupied to neglect them and not go. Worst part is I had great dental insurance for 5 of the last 6 years so I really have no excuse but being a pig headed moron.

    I had a bad experience when I was a kid and refused to go to the dentist for years - the dentist and two assistants were holding me down and I was getting sick to my stomach, if they would have just let me sit up for a minute it all would have been fine but they decided to hold me down to get things done because he was on a tight schedule. I was getting sick and was scared to death but he wouldn't slow down or explain anything that they were doing to me. :mad: If my mom hadn't of heard me gagging/screaming from the waiting room and stormed into the exam room I probably would have puked/aspirated. After a few years we finally found a dentist that was really good with kids - I still go to him to this day :D I still hate to be restrained and go completely nuts all because of that dentist. Almost gave my orthodontist a black eye when he pushed me back into the chair - after being warned not to do so - his assistant caught my arm and stopped the punch. So I fought my way out of the chair and backed him against the wall and told him that he wasn't to touch me ever again or I was going to press charges against him. Somehow finished out a year + of treatment without him ever touching me.

    OK. But remember, you asked for it...

    There are definitely horrible dentists out there... try being in the military and you don't have a choice. Went to one dentist and chips of tooth were falling in my throat and I was gagging and he was really nasty about it. Not like I was TRYING to gag. He messed the tooth up. Couldn't even chew soggy bread on the tooth. Had to go back to get it re-done. Had a really good dentist fix it. If the db was the one they sent me back to, I was gonna walk out. Found out he'd been FIRED!!!!! :yay: He had many patients walk out in tears.

    THANKS!!!! it's hot and ickky out - that feels wonderful!!!

    My dentist is retiring soon... :pout: ...I haven't met the two that are taking over his practice. Might be on the hunt for another one soon.
    Funny you say that though....I think my scary dentist was ex military. Can't remember for sure....

    The horrible one was a civilian dentist contracted to work on the base. He wasn't military.

    Three hornets stung me seven times on the back after I disturbed their nest cutting grass. The little bastards drew blood and left massive blisters and bruises making it difficult to wear a shirt. That and having to move around a lot at work hasn't made it better.

    It was painful.....by the time the first one hit the other two joined in and I couldn't reach them where they were stinging. By the time I got my shirt off the damage was done. Sleeping has been tough as well.:eek:
