    anyone bought tires at sears?
what's their price on mounting and balancing? and the stupid fees?
    are they good???

they have Nittos for like $155 a pop plus tax

if I order it online, do i need to pay tax too? I hate paying taxes... I paid enough already!!!

Be VERY aware of fees and all of the extra crap. I bought 4 tires for my wifes car and the balancing, valve stems, disposal, technicians double cheeseburger lunch, etc... fees came to almost $100. I also had them change the oil and that ended up being $80 for DINO!!!! They charged me $13 for a generic oil filter  and then $8 for the delivery of the filter from the Autozone that I could hit with a rock from the Sears parking lot . I priced the filter and it cost $1.87 at the Autozone (1000% mark-up). Never Again!!!

If you are not looking to do something fancy, I would say try Sams or Walmart. I have had good luck with them in the past and they are everywhere. If you buy the tires at Sams, you can get them rotated for life for just $3 per tire.

    Just my 2 cents...

i usually just purchase my tires from sears because i can pick them up instead of paying shipping. they pricematch +10% of the difference so thats why i buy through them. i made the mistake of having my tires mounted and all that, fees are rediculous.

Costco is the best place to go but, they will only put on tires that match the size on the sticker inside the door.

Therefore, if you want to go to a larger tire for a lift they will not do it.

I bought my BFG MT's at Sears...They price matched Tirerack.com at $154/each plus 10% off! $13.99 per tire to mount and balance but you also get free lifetime rotations/balances. I like going to Sears because I can find one just about anywhere to get my rotations when needed.

I dont know if I trust the Wal-mart guys touching my truck...
most of the time, they have no idea what's going on...
I would like to get the tires online... and have them mail to the tire place!

For the truck I bought my all-terrains thru sears with the 10% pricematch like meteoraman2514 said. It saved the shipping fees from tire rack. Then I took them to my friends shop who put them on for me.

On my Del Sol, I bought a set of Michelins with a free mounting/balancing/rotation for life deal. They did however want to soak me for brakes so I told them not to worry and again took it to Nate's shop and he fixed the brakes.

ive gotten tires from there(since I do work there) and it is rediculous in prices, but you also have to look at what you get..lifetime balance/rotate for free, and if you buy the roadhazard, you get free flat repairs

Im looking into getting a set of all terrians in the next couple of weeks to replace my worn winter michelin's
