My taco comes with a free three yrs complimentary SiriusXM Radio? Complimentary huh? It ain't worth paying a single penny for it since I'm not even listening to it. Glad it's not part of the payments.

Well, to each their own, huh? If you have local station that entertain you and never leave their signal foot print, then good for you.

On the other hand, some of us love the variety that XM offers, and that the signal is available coast-to-coast (ever so nice on those long trips).

And I think you'll be happy that the "free" part is 3 months, not three years.

I'm afraid you are most likely correct for the most part. Any "complimentary" packages have already been factored into the total value of a product so the customers are the ones paying for it all.

Ahh, but there is no "cost" per se for a couple months of free radio service. I'm pretty sure its Sirius/XM that's offering it in the hopes that you'll try it, like it, and then continue the subscription.

All marketing. Sirius/XM regularly does "listen free" weekends, where anyone that has a working radio can tune in. Same basic concept - they're trying to give you a chance to get hooked and subscribe. Same way HBO will let you watch for free from time to time.

Mine came with three 'free' months of XM. Meh. I think you have to cancel, or they will start billing you when the trial period expires. That requires a phone call to an annoying offshore call site.

I'm on my 3 month trial... the stations that I like seem to repeat their music quite frequently. I won't be subscribing after.

I think you need to tune around some more. The stations I listen to don't repeat much at all.

    But to each their own.

I have been a subscriber for years. Its worth it to me, because I like music from the 50s, 60s, and 70s mostly. Also, I don't have any commercials--which seem to be 50% of regular radio broadcasts sometimes. Further, when I am out of town I don't lose the signal like I do on regular stations.

I've subscribed for years myself as well. Find it to be a great way to discover music I haven't heard before in addition to being able to drive for a few hours without having to constantly search for new stations.

How someone manages to find fault with a free 90 day trial is beyond me. I have it on my boat and two cars. I love it. But, to each his own.

After my trial period ended I kept getting calls from SiriusXM trying to get me to sign up. I kindly entertained the first sales pitch and explained why I don't need it (Bluetooth & iPhone + iTunes Radio + Entune Pandora + AM + FM = all the music I need) but they kept calling. They offered down to $0.99 for 1 month. Finally I counter offered with "free for as long as I own the truck"...they stopped calling.

    Perfect for my listening.
We do travel a lot and some places have none or 1 or 2 stations.
I have it in all vehicles and garage.

Ya know, bashing sat radio is counter-productive. I'm glad some people do all their driving within cell phone coverage and/or have other options. I lose nearly all radio coverage 30 mins outside of town and my cell coverage isn't much better than that. I could load up on CDs, or bring my audio player, but that's all music I own and have heard the most. Sat radio gives me genre specific exposure to new music that I haven't heard when all other options are exhausted. I'm not saying it's for everybody... but it's ideal for me and many others.

That would be a neat trick being that they do not have access to your credit card or bank info.
Personally I know the trial is free and not included in the price of the vehicle. As mentioned above, similar to HBO the free trial is to get you some exposure to their product in hopes that you will want to subscribe. I like the variety of satellite radio along with the lack of commercials so I kept the service after my trial expired. Thursday night while driving home from work I listed to the Ravens/Steelers game. Nice if you ask me.

I said 'billing,' not 'taking your money.' Easier to cancel before than after they send you a bill.

I got the 3 month trial.. IMO, the Entune isn't worth renewing the subscription, the HD and XM reception BLOWS! I have a portable XM in my Camry that is 10X better.

I love my XM and use it at home and in my Camry, I won't be renewing it in my Tacoma, I'll be using Pandora for free streamed from my phone.

They still cannot bill you without you going on-line and giving them your Radio ID#.

Sure, but don't you have to register your radio ID to make channel selections so you can try out the trial subscription?
