lift my truck

The TSB thread was extremely helpful..i will do that before i lift my truck..are the bilstein shocks provided by the tsb 5100's..if not do i need to change them in order to accomodate the lift kit? I have gathered the bilstein shocks make for the best lifting method (only 2.5"), what else do i need to buy with them..coilovers and spacers??..i want ed to stay away from the add a leaf as i have heard it "sterns the ride"..

The shocks that you get with the rear leaf spring TSB are just the TRD Bilstiens. They are not the 5100s. How much lift are you wanting? The 5100s only provide lift in the front. How much rear lift are you wanting?

 

5100s alone in the front.(on the top setting). leaf tsb in the rear, but get a set of 1" blocks for when the leaf pak settles, approx 3 months

 

Which AAL do you have? I heard that you have to trim the AAL to get them to fit with the TSB springs. Did you have to do any trimming??

 

thanks to all of you for your input. I am wanting to lift approx 3"..What else will i need to acompany the 5100's on the front (extensions, joints, tire rods..etc)? Also, where can one buy the longer aal?

 

if you want 5100's up front thats great, they are a much better ride, but you dont need them to go with a spacer lift. and do not set them to 2.5 inches and then add a spacer to get to 3", you are not suppose to use spacers with 5100's unless you have them set to the stock setting height. AAL is better than blocks, blocks cause axle wrap and can crack or break
