Made into at&t's site. Maybe I read it wrong but maybe you can't upgrade just through the preorder period? Hopefully that's the case, cause I expect to have a new phone within a week and a half or so lol

That could be that case.. I was able to get to the ATT site.. But when the Upgrade button can up the only option was the Samsung phone.... I will try by the ATT store front tomorrow.. I've been out of a contract for over a year.. Still rocking the 4s.

If you guys are on a datashare plane, you should consider getting it through the AT&T Next plan instead of the contract upgrade. It's $27/month for 24 months for the 16gb 6. On a datashare plan 10gb or higher, you're charged a base amount for data plus $15/month for each out of contract phone or $40/month for a contract phone ($20/40 month <10gb). When the phone under contract becomes out of contract, it'll drop to $15/month ($20 <10gb). We have the 10gb datashare plan which gives unlimited talk and text to anywhere in the world and the data is shared between multiple devices. That means the Next plan costs $2 more than the contract price. The upside is you have no down payment (no $199) and there is no activation fee like you would get under contract (which I believe is an additional $40). The only thing you have to pay is the sales tax on the full price of the phone. After 18 months, they'll waive the remaining due if you trade it in for a new phone (iPhone 7?).

Interesting. I'm due for an upgrade too. I have a legacy unlimited data plan with two phones through ATT that I don't want to get rid of, but I know I could save some coin if I did. Pro tip for any .mil/.gov dudes, we get a discount but you have to call ATT customer service to get it. Wastes about an hour of your life lol.

I will be getting the 6 plus when it is available and whenever Lifeproof comes out with their case for it.

Tried to order mine and it said it couldn't reach my carrier to check I my upgrade status. So it "reserved" a phone for me and they'll email me when they can reach vzw to confirm. Goin with the 64 gb 6. Now to decide what case I'm gonna get....

Lifeproof has saved my phone a hundred times or more over the last 3 or 4 years, however long I've had it.

I preordered at midnight. Actually Verizon's site let me order at 11:56.

I ordered 2 64gb iPhone 6 for my wife and myself.

I also preordered a 16gb iPhone 6 for my dad. All through verizon before midnight. Verizon trade-in program is giving my dad $200 for his old 8gb iPhone 4 so that's a no brainer.

My wife and I both have iPhone 5 16gb that we are gonna be selling.

Have you looked into how much data you actually use? My wife had unlimited on her phone a couple of years ago but she wasn't even using 1gb. With Wifi, it's pretty easy to stay under 10gb. Just recently she used 3GB because of the Facebook Video Auto-Play setting.

We have 3 phones and a 4G tablet all sharing 10GB. I went over 10 one time (again due to the Facebook setting pushing my wife's use to 3GB).

With 2 phones at 10GB, you'd be spending $130 plus the cost of any new smart phone or just $130 with the phones you have now.

The other advantage of the datashare plans is they don't throttle. With the unlimited, I've heard they start throttling back the speed after 5GB of use.
