So after years and years of using other peoples tv with my xbox i finally bought me 60 inch tv. My question is have you guys ever used Audio Digital out put Cable




You guys have any game recommendation ? To play on the new big ass tv.

Like mostly shooter games and sports games.

 

If anybody sees a camper topper for a 1st gen for sale anywhere, let me know! On the market for a topper with racks. Sure would beat camping like this in the winter.

 

if you're running HDMI, there's no need for the optical audio cable...essentially you're getting the same data stream in both...just a bunch of 0s and 1s.

 

But my old sound system only has audio digital and analog.

 

ahhh, ok then you'll need it to get the full digital audio stream like if you want to do surround sound. If you only have two speakers, there won't be much of a difference in sound between using analog and digital.

 

So i am guessing i should just get something like this and will be the same as the digital.



Kinda looks like this still does pretty well even though it is like 14 years old.

 

I mean, you can go digital if you have the plug for it...just don't go spending any ungodly amounts of money on the cable. a digital signal cant degrade like analog can. either the 0s and 1s get there or they don't...but otherwise, yeah that RCA/1/4" splitter will do the trick.

 

Don't get NHL15.
Fuck EA.

Pick up NHL14 though.

nhl14 was fun and honestly what could they really change on it.

 

They released NHL15 incomplete.
I only play EASHL on 14.

You can run the HDMI cable from say the Cable/satellite or DVD player or game console to the tv, and for the sound run the digital cable you have pictured from the components to your receiver. This is how I have my set up running. I have a highend Dennon receiver that I bought pre HDMI inputs so this option was cheaper than a new receiver. I ran a 7.1 system this way.

I skimmed a couple of reviews and articles on the release of 15. The main mode in NHL14 was the EASHL or Club. You basically pick a position, start as a shitty player with no skill and just play and get stat points to increase your skills. You are locked into that one position unless you level up another. That is the only successful mode. I love playing a defensive d man and shut down the offense. People preferred to focus on one position and get good at it.

From what I hear that mode is either out completely or will be patched on later. (Who knows of they will try and charge for it)

EA released an incomplete game due to contract obligations. They don't even have the 3 star players at the end of game for Christ sakes.

It's okay though. I believe HUT is working fine, which is EAs money making card game.
