Its only a 90 minute drive. Takes longer than that to get to the desert :)

Your right. I looked at it again and it has 4.86 gears. I'm running 4.10 gears all around now. This rear end swap will need to wait until I have the coin to regear too. It didn't even cross my mind. Doh

Ok guys, this is the deal, Earlier this week (Monday) while driving my truck all over hell to default the system for another shot at getting it smogged, CHP lit me up for no tags/no insurance but they went the extra mile & decided to impound my truck because of the no insurance, they even told me it wouldn't matter if a driver was liscensed or not, they could overlook the ex. reg. but not the insurance, (the lapse in insurance is my fault) I tried to pay the fees earlier (about a month ago) so at least they'd be paid but for some unexplicable reason DMV wanted the the smog first (WTF!, when has DMV ever declined getting $$$$, is beyond me) & I explained that to the CHP & he had no idea why either, long story short & without airing alot of personal B.S. the impound fees as of today are slightly over $500 (CHP impounds are about 1/3 again more than any other law enforcement for some fucking reason) I've tried to scratch up some $$$$ to stop the bleeding but have failed to do so...

I've resigned to the fact that I've got to sell it so I don't just give it to these motherfuckers & yes I know its my fault at the end of the day for not renewing my policy..

So, that said if anyone is looking for a decent 1st gen TRD 4x & wants to pay the impouind fees to at least get the fucking thing out of jail theres going to be a pretty good deal in it for them & no, I dont mean you're going to get it for the $600 due (it'll be that by monday) It's already passed emission but because that stupid fuck in santee fucked up the smog test, it'll have to be done again, but if interested PM me & I'll go into more detail...

These are not happy days at all, Between a weak real estate agent & an impatient lender, they pulled the trigger & foreclosed, & theres word house has already been auctioned for the price of the note against which leaves me with the grand sum of $00000.00 & a nice "Get the fuck out" note from lender

    So hit me back

    have a nice day....

Help me heal dude, buy my truck !! Seriously tho'... I hate doing it but I'm ok with selling it at a pretty reasonable price, just saying if I lose it altogether its better to go to someone than on an auction block, that veteran truck thats put up with me deserves better haha, actually its still a very tight truck, mechanically sound, only real issue was that stupid ass little brown wire that slipped out of the harness connector to the igniter that had me stumped for about a month & a half...

Trans is still pretty fresh, driveline is about perfect, all bearings in the 3rd have been replaced & gone through about 5k ago rebuilt spindle on pass side new upper ball joint, new tie rod end on dr side, the pass. side is perfect..odd.. rebuilt CV's its fun as fuck to drive on street really, suspension gives it those firm smooth landings from Julian in lakeside haha

Doug, I don't know you yet and I'm sorry to hear about your situation. But, I'd rather (hopefully with the help of some others on here) just kick in the impound fees if you can afford to keep the truck after that. I can't throw in too much - maybe a couple hundred. I understand with everything else going on that keeping the truck may not be in the cards, but if it is, I think we could maybe get a little fundraiser to at least let you keep her.

Unfortunately, I can't buy the truck from - but I can help out anyway possible.
