    I'm a fucking idiot.

A 'Box' opened up in our town about a year ago and I went twice…wasn't for me.

I mean, whats the definition of crossfit? It's hard to define.

I rag on it a lot but most of my training revolves around the fundamentals of crossfit + bench pressing and military pressing because they are fun. I just don't do the cardio intensive stuff because I just don't really want to. I've worked out at a few crossfit gyms with some of my buddies, and to be honest most of the times at open gym, people are really only working on olympic lifts and power lifting stuff. I've also done a few WODs (less than 10). I don't have any disrespect for people who are committed to any kind of workout program. But not every workout program entices me haha.

I personally prefer putting in an hour or so at the gym over doing a 20 minute all-out hurricane of high rep cleans and kipping pullups. But I hear its great for women, since it helps them lose weight and be more coordinated in the kitchen.

Funny story, yesterday during my 6:30 am class I had a personal trainer from the LR area come in and ask if he could try us out. He had a pretty good physique and looked like he was in pretty good shape, so I said sure.

So we started with 7 sets of 5-7 weighted pull-ups (strict mind you, no kipping allowed) with about 1 minute rest between sets, followed by 5 sets of 20 Tate Press with ~ 30 seconds rest between sets. He was sweating pretty heavy already.

Yesterday being 9/11, we did a specially terrible honorary WOD that we call "9/11." It is as follows:

    9 Rounds For Time
    11 Push Press 95# men/65# women
    11 Front Squats 95# men/65# women
    11 Toes to Bar

He finished in just over 33 minutes, with a big smile on his face.

One of the big draws of CF is the community aspect, and the fact that our clients don't have to think about what their workout will be. We tell them exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to do it.

Call it what you will. I don't hate an entire race of people. I hate certain segments from every race. I don't think that designates me a racist.

Nice! I have a torn MCL thanks to my 105lb dog on a dead sprint... So I've been doing some "normal" lifting. It's soooo fucking boring! I really like crossfit but not what these guys on here think it is lmao. I like Olympic lifts too and always mix it up. I'm very competitive though so I think that turns a lot of people off to it... Plus it's hard and tiring and some guys don't like to sweat.

and don't forget the arrogance and entitlement aspect.....CF is the new "iphone-before-everyone-had-an-iphone"

here, alot of people do crossfit so they can tell everyone they do crossfit so people will ask them about crossfit so they can talk about crossfit and then look down on all the people who don't do crossfit because they don't 'get' crossfit and when people start comming to their crossfit cult, they either quit or go to a different crossfit hive

Definitely a positive. Also, the fact that you can get a workout in a short window of time. I don't think anybody can say its not a great way to stay fit.

This is true. Although admittedly, there are a lot of retards who go to the gym one time and then post a progress selfie with a duck face. I personally have not and never will post that bullshit on social media, but maybe only occasionally on this thread since douchebaggery is welcomed with open arms.

I've been incorporating some crossfit into my workouts lately. Whenever I finish a set, I'll walk to the water fountain on my hands, push on the water fountain with my feet and then butt chug from the fountain.
