I agree with you also. It's trickling down from the Pro's. Getting shitty.

What separates you from the common bandwagon fan that always cheers for the best team? I'm sure you've been a Bama fan all your life, but that's what every bandwagon fan says. If nothing ties you to the school what's going to stop you from not being a fan when they're terrible?

Um...what stops a "student" from doing that? Nothing. How many students go to school somewhere just because the football team is good, instead of for the education? If you say "many", then what actually separates THAT type of student from a "bandwagon fan"?

What stops them is the fact that they didn't go to that school. Hardly no one chooses a school based on the football team and that is the whole point. You cheer for the team not because they are good or the best but because you all have something in common. You all go or went to the same school.

Still doesn't answer my question of why someone HAS to go to the school to be a fan of the team.

I would have loved for Alabama to have a Business / Leadership program with the clout that Notre Dames has. Guess I'll have to go get some meaningless degree on the cheap from Alabama so I can be a "real" fan.

Osceola and Renegade is a tradition and the best one in college football if you ask me but I'm bias. Anyways not gonna keep trying to get you to understand because clearly you never will but absolutely nothing beats the atmosphere of going to a college game. Hell even just being on campus on game day is awesome.

We did this and are changing all the colors back. The yellow looked terrible and the garnet looked purple.

Pretty sad to me that they spent all this money and didn't get a single thing right.

They don't. But a college team is just that, the team for your college.

I hope you're right. I just got done telling my fiancee that UGA better show up b/c they're the talk of the nation. I really hope they don't let us down. She'll be at the GT v. Georgia Southern game. My fiancee's family are die-hard Tecchies and season ticket holders and her best friend graduated from Southern, so they're both going to that. I hope Southern whips their asses lol. I usually drink beer on game day, but I'm breaking out the whiskey tomorrow! Very excite!

Georgia's got a great team and outmatch SC in every department (no offense), but like Derick said a few days ago, Steve Spurrier just does something to throw the Dawgs off their game…I'd check the water jugs for sedatives or something

 Spurrier does have a good plan against Georgia & Clemson most seasons.......I agree with that. But we have almost no talent this year. The 5 to 6 points they are giving us on bets is crazy talk!!! I was thinking more like 17 to 21!

Well, I suppose it will just have to be my hometown team. (UAB football doesn't count.)

Wait...so in this infinite fan debate...are ya'll saying that I can't be a Clemson fan because I didn't go there? Should I call Clemson and cancel my checks because I don't meet the fan requirements so I can no longer support the school? Ridiculous

People born and raised in the deep south know good and damn well that even if you don't go to one of the schools. ..you MUST be a fan of either Clemson or Carolina, UGA or GT, Bama or Auburn or FSU or Florida

I was born and raised with orange blood, and I've had season tickets for my whole life. ..my dad and uncle went there, my brother just graduated...why am I not a true fan? Because my degree came from somewhere else? Psh
