You can definitely be a Clemson fan. The "fans" that I have issues with are the Bama/Fla. State/Auburn/etc. fans that come out of the woodwork once that particular team begins to do well. They usually buy all of their apparrel at Wal-Mart and contribute next to nothing to the school

Agreed. Like I said before, If I had to be a Panthers fan just because I go to Ga State, I'd kill myself lol.

You're gonna have that in any sport, but it does piss me off, too. I'm sure UGA shit has been flying off the shelves at Wal Mart lately

No you can be a fan. For me you need a tie to the university. You have immediate family that attended. That works for me.

When someone with no ties to the school says:"we're gonna win tomorrow!" It pisses me off. "We" didn't both spend $100k or more to go there. "We" didn't spend thousands of hours busting our asses to get that degree. "We" are not alike. What keeps you from turning your back on that school when they have a 4-8 season? I'm here for the long haul no matter what.

If you chose to randomly support a school because they're winning or they have nice uniforms then you sound like the woman that doesn't know anything about football. No offense to said women.

Some of the most die-hard UGA fans I know are rednecks who've never even had a family member attend college. Sure, there are plenty of bandwagoners out there and they all suck, but there are also people who genuinely love a team for their own reasons.

But for some reason didn't go to Columbia this weekend :notsure:

And about spurrier/UGA, he actually said the other day "Richt has been at UGA like 14 years. They've basically ran the same offense ever since. We have a game plan". But of course went on to say he's not sure they can stop Gurley or the rest of our stable.

This is just a guess, but I would say more of the money I have spent on football tickets has gone to the football team, than your $100k.

In Alabama, it is quite possible that your parents have to check a box on your birth certificate when you are born as to which school you will be a fan of. Fandom is about tradition, family, and community. Alabama football has been on whatever media possible for as long as I can remember. Not one single family member has attended.

I do understand the frustration towards bandwagon fans. I just cant see how not going to that school makes you like a bandwagon fan. For instance, I have a buddy, who was a Colts fan, because they started winning, so naturally he was a Peyton Manning fan. Next thing I know, he is wearing Tennessee gear. Now that Peyton has gone to Denver, he is a Broncos fan, and for some reason has started sporting Alabama gear. Now this.is.despicable.

I'm guessing they are letting the SEC Gameday crew gain some speed? Where are they this week? They SHOULD be in Columbia.

I mean they're at NDSU vs. Incarnate Word this week so I'm not arguing…

I'm honestly surprised though considering they were just at our game in Dallas. I thought they'd be heading to UF vs. Bama.

I wonder if they'll score at least 52 by the end of the 3rd quarter.

I thought they were waiting for FSU vs. ND to bring College Gameday.

FSU vs. Clemson is next week too :notsure:
