I wonder how many beers it takes to convince somebody to do that. Although it may have been the most entertaining thing of the race.

Seriously, this race was by far the most boring one I've been to. And I've been to some boring Charlotte races before. BK had 4 car lengths on everyone else by turn 3. No one seemed to be aggressively driving, I was expecting Bowyer to dive bomb BK on that final restart, but BK was just too fast.

I honestly didn't see BK being that strong at Richmond, that team has really got their shit together. It was def a boring race though, I figured you'd have a lot more bumping with it being the last race before the chase but the situations never played out unfortunately, good win for crashlowski though! I got him winning the ship.

I agree. I mean this is most of the field's last chance to get into the chase. I expected a lot more aggressive driving from the different teams, but you really didn't see it.

The lack of aggressive driving has me wondering if maybe the setups just weren't allowing that to happen? I remember last year early on in the season Hamlin had made a comment (that he ended up getting fined for) that these cars weren't competitive and there was a lot of single file racing. I wonder if that was kinda the case Saturday night. I'm reaching for something in the dark here, but I EXPECTED there to be a lot more racing than what I saw. I even got seats going into turn 3 because I have seen wrecks happen going down into 3 fighting for position.

Listening in on the scanners seems like most were loose in and off but super tight in the middle. My guess is that doesn't lend to a lot of movement or passing.

Well idk if we are doing a pool or not but here's my 12 drivers who will advance to the Contender Round, along with some crazy predictions :D

    1 Brad Keselowski
    2 Dale Earnhardt Junior
    3 Kevin Harvick
    4 Jimmie Johnson
    5 Jeff Gordon
    6 Joey Logano
    7 Kyle Busch
    8 Denny Hamlin
    9 Matt Kenseth
    10 Ryan Newman
    11 Carl Edwards
    12 Kasey Kahne

    Drivers Eliminated:
1 Aric Almirola (Product of a lucky win thanks to rain)
2 AJ Allmedinger (Was happy to see him win, but he can't crank out the top 10s and top 5s needed to advance over these other teams/drivers)
3 Greg Biffle (It's a dog eat dog world, Chicago and Dover are some of his worst tracks)
4 Kurt Busch (WTF happened to Outlaw?)

    Race Winners
    Chicagoland: Harvick
New Hampshire: Gordon (He's struggled to finish well in recent years, but the guy used to own this track back in his heyday)
Dover: JJ (He's won 3 of the last 5 fall races here. Lowest finish of the other 2 was 4th)

*edit* let it be known that I refuse to have Kyle Busch as a race winner in ANY of my predictions, and quite frankly BK could win any of those 3 races! Also, I'd pick Tony to win Chicago, but I don't think he's been consistent enough this year to win it plus he's still got off the track distractions I think.

Stewart-Haas Racing announced Tuesday that the team would change the pit crews on the No. 4 and No. 14 teams. Harvick's No. 4 car will have the pit crew of Tony Stewart's No. 14 team, while Harvick's crew will go to Stewart's team for the final 10 races of 2014.

Is Alex Tagliani been in the truck series all year or is he just in because this is a road course ?

He is contracted just for road course races, I think he's raced 1-2 truck races a year for the past 5 years and the same for nationwide

Also a reminder, my previous post has a link to join our tacoma world league for a chase grid battle, I think we have 4-5 signed up so I'd like to see a few more before discussing money winnings! Go sign up!

He was good in Champ Car open wheelers back in the day

He was the driver that unfortunately collided with Alex Zanardi in the crash that lost Zanardi both legs
