Hahahhaahhahaha yeah right. There is so many 05+ that have been aiming for that cause of frame rot and messed up motor mounts and Toyota Corporate just keeps shunning then off. I still need to get mine in but was told that "they have never heard of any frame problems with the new 05+'s..........:frusty:

Not too bad looking. Haven't seen that one before.

I'll have to get more details from my parents but it is my understanding this is an active TSB. It probably only applies to cold weather states that salt though.

The dealership contacted my parents to have it dropped off for inspection. They wanted it for 8hrs and mentioned removing the bed. I'll get more details. I'm sure the dealer was happy to get the 8hrs of charged labor from Toyota.

Looking for a sweet fishing spot for this weekend. Any ideas fellas?

I've been to the butte, conchas, cochiti, and Santa rosa but its time for a change of scenery. Perphaps something 1 to 3 hours away?

    Any input is appreciated!

Doing some googling I found this: http://www.toyotaproblems.com/tsbs/Tacoma/2008/

    TSB Reference: #TC-14-013

Description: TOYOTA: SEE DOCUMENT SEARCH BUTTON FOR OWNER LETTER. INFORMATION PROVIDED REGARDING THE CORROSION RESISTANT COMPOUND (CRC) APPLICATION FOR SOME VEHICLES FRAMES DUE TO USAGE OF HIGH ROAD SALT, IN CERTAIN STATES. MODEL 2005-2008 TACOMA.

Now that read the description and I've thought about me mum mentioning they were "taking the bed off", they must just be coating the frames. I don't know if a punch test is involved or any chance of frame replacement.

You could go to San Juan. It's on the outskirts of Espanola but surprisingly it's pretty nice. My brother and one of the guys he works with caught 64 fish one night.
