Good reply! I like to see some spunk. :smack:

Now you might want to start a new thread something like this (or redirect this one):

Who can help me put in some spacers in my truck. I'm new to this whole thing and I bought spacers and then found out they cost to install :(

I live in East BFE (your town) and I would realy appriciate someone's help. I am real good at (what you are good at, wax car maybe) _________________ and would certainly do my best to help you.

Where do you live? I just helped a guy swap out his front resi coil overs. I did not know him. I met him for about 15 minutes and from a brief discussion I met up with him and helped him out. This board is filled with some great knowledge and are willing to help. I now feel like this guy is a good friend. It all started with him asking for help.

Ask directly for the help and I would be surprised if you don't get those babies in soon.

My rattling of your cage wasn't just to fcuk with you. It was to get you to ask. Ask someone in your area and be willing to help and you will get what you want. You could also try starting a mod day in your area or find one.

My question about asking what you want to do is related to the value being placed on the shop in question. The guy that ends up helping you may well be the guy that is charging $75/hr or more to help his customers. I was just attempting to illustrate that what you end up doing will add value.

    Best wishes!

Dude!!!! I was beginning to wonder if you really were one of those jackasses with a chip on his shoulder but you seem like you might be aight! The whole ask for help thing would work I am sure. This forum is a family as far as I'm concerned. I do have the change to pay a professional and I probably will simply because it's huntin season and I wanted those Duratracs on there a month ago.
P.S.- I get kinda short tempered sometimes and on a chat style forum you really can't show expression so it makes it more difficult to determine how asinine someone is.

    No worries.

My last two pennies are this: If you plan on keeping the truck for a while and you plan on using it off road, the more you can learn about it by doing things like this, you will be better off and have more confidence when something does go wrong when you are 5 miles from the nearest road.

    Once again, best wishes!

"If you plan on keeping the truck for a while and you plan on using it off road..."

And there is the bare bones of it. This is a mod I'm doing so I can live with this truck for another year. I am planning on upgrading before I head off to college hopefully at least to a PreRunner maybe a 4wd.

Oh, and I guess thanks for rattling my cage... :boink: We'll see if I learn.
Good luck with your Tacoma although these trucks are good enough to not need it.

If it makes you feel any better, I just did about $2,000 worth of damage to my truck in a little wheeling event this weekend to an 09 double cab. One crunched in door skin, 2 brand new rims (countersteers), 1 new Hankook DynaPro MT 285/75/16 , and a crunched in quarter panel. The rims and the tire had less than 2 days of use.

I need a good smackin myself. :smack:

   If you enjoy hearin about that kind of damage to a Tacoma you need to get smacked around and thrown off this forum. That really sucks!!! that sounds like more than $2000 worth of damage. I've heard that if you aren't messing up stuff your not playin hard enough but that makes me kinda sick to hear about an 09 already takin a blow. Allstate new car replacement possibly??

    I like pogo sticks.

Anyway, no need to get riled - but just look at this as a lesson learned. Most of the labor in truck upgrades isn't what's being put in, but rather what has to be taken apart/re-assembled to get to where you put it.

Me and a buddy took off my spacers and put my COs on. Not that bad at all. Took us about 3-4 hours and a case of beer. Had to rent a coil compresor from Kragan. Turned out great. As long as you can get your hands on the tools, just do it yourself. Best of luck!

That sure would be nice but so far the only SC boys I've seen on here are upstate so I doubt that will happen.
